Paseo del Prado

Paseo del Prado is an old avenue in Havana built in 1772 that maintains today an unparalleled beauty. It's a very busy road due to its centrical position in Old Havana. Over time, it was enlarged and embellished even more. In 1928, eight bronze lion statues were added. It was the first asphalted street in Havana, a true milestone for the time.

The "Fuente de la India", on the left of the photo, marks the beginning of the Paseo del Prado. Nearby, the iconic Capitolio is the first relevant building among the many others on this avenue.

On the block next to the Capitol is the "Alicia Alonso" Great Theater of Havana, home of the National Ballet of Cuba.

Some of my clients love to take pictures at the Paseo del Prado because of the variety of beautiful views that are possible to achieve here.
