We Protect Our Beehives from Dangers

Hello there. I shared about being on the plateau last weekend. I took pictures of our hives that day. I was planning to share it here. But it's up to date. I thought I'd share now.

The reason we put the hives high like this is to protect them from bear attack. Bear is an animal that loves honey very much. It is a very strong and very intelligent animal at the same time. While it does not touch the hives where the bees have little honey, they break the hives with a lot of honey and eat the honey. We put our hives on such high places as a precaution against this attack.

We get out of this apiary by bringing our vehicle closer to the bottom. We do not use stairs. If a ladder is found nearby, the bear is smart enough to use that ladder to get here.

We wrapped the poles that keep the apiary standing with wire mesh. We tried to eliminate the possibility of climbing up the poles.

See you again. Take care of yourself and your hive. 😀😀😀
