Little diy here and there make life amazing

Some years back I visited a good friend of mine. While we were catching up, talking about life and the next business opportunity to vendor into. My eyes caught a bottle of oil laying on his table. When I asked about it he told me that it is coconut oil and he was using it to treat dandruff on his head.

I got really curious, I asked again aside from treating dandruff what other things can coconut oil do? He told me that it helps greatly with healthy hair growth. Now this oil got my attention. Since he prepared it himself I told him to tell me the process of making it.

Two weeks later, after failing at my first attempt, I watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to prepare coconut oil. My second attempt was a success and that was the beginning of regaining my lost hair.

Before that, I was struggling with my hair as I could not explain the sudden brokerage on my frontal and the growth was very slow.

Within two months, I witnessed massive growth. It became fuller, stronger, and longer. Four years and still counting I haven't spent a dime on any hair creams as coconut oil has become my best pet for my hair growth and I have helped lots of my friends and family members regain their hair loss with it. Do you know how much some people spend on hair cream to stop their hair from breaking? Hmmm, I will leave that to you.

This coconut oil story is very similar to the one of my tiger nut milk drink. A friend offered me a milk drink one day. I loved it so much that I adopted it into my family recipe because of how healthy it is for us. When we eat healthily we keep sickness and doctors away and a healthy life is equal to a happy life, from a minimalistic point of view.

In my diy exploration, I discovered how to use honey with Irish potatoes to heal a long-time ulcer I was suffering from for years. After spending lots of money buying medicine that only helps at hiding the symptoms. Not only that, it helped me, through my recommendation over twenty people have got their ulcers healed.

When my eyes caught images that triggered my creativity I took the shot and sometimes it is worth sharing and it's enriching my hive blogs.

I have learned to use my phone to capture photos and sometimes the result can be captivating like the catfish images above.

Living in a country facing a serious case of unemployment, underemployment, and inflation I think I might be damaged if I don't have many skills at my back I can fall on. Like my writing on the hive for instance, which has helped shape my approach to not only finance but life generally.

I'm too curious about many things to become an expert at one single thing. I try as much as possible to focus on the most useful and important ones so that my life won't be chaos as time is not any man's best friend.

Learning to do some diy here and there is one thing that makes life amazing for me and I can't trade it for one single skill as I consider it a bit risky for my kind of person and again there is FOMO. So, even in the future, I don't see myself just focusing on a single skill.

This is my entry into this week's Minimalist Community Writing Prompt #61. You can still join us to share your thoughts on the topic at hand.

All images are mine, hive text divider was generously gifted by Doze and you are free to use.
