Simplicity Always Save The Day.

Simplicity saves us from a lot of hassle in life, and I believe no one wants unnecessary drama in their life, but I am sure wrong because some people crave that drama with so much passion.

Speaking of which, technology usage in the hands of humans is sometimes filled with toxicity. Social media has influenced many people in ways that can't be kept tab on. Every day I see news pop up, I am always glad I chose the simplified way.

I have to admit I never knew anything about minimalism or its practice, though. I practised it. However, coming to Hive changed things when a post I curated on #dreemport was written in the #theminimalist community. I was intrigued with what I read and decided to check the community out. And, I am glad I did.

After reading about the community rules and all, I got to know I have found my place here. A simplified way for me. I did fall in love with the community, which is why I always try to check in, as it has made me understand more about living the simplified way by also reading other author's posts in the community.

For this week's prompt, I'd have to confess that social media did influence me to choose the simplified part. I term social media, fake life as it is a place people can be who they are not.

I have met with people whose social media space is buzzing with the latest material things, and in reality, they own none.

When I was in school, I have seen how different ladies come to my hostel to meet their friends to borrow their wig, clothes, bags, shoes, and any other thing to keep people glued to their social page. Making the most extravagant sense of life they live filled with deceit. It is just so funny, yet sad seeing the lengths people will go to showcase the influence they think they have on people with the use of social media.

However, staying amongst these social freaks wasn't easy, especially with my roommate always wanting to put my face on her Snapchat videos, but I did not have any of that. I just love the simplicity of life that whenever there seems to be some unnecessary disturbance in the neighborhood, I have a place filled with the nature I go to, and it has always helped me.

Also, the absence of simplicity in some people's lives has pushed them to early grave. I have seen some guys engage in scams and even kill people to just live an extravagant life. Also, I have met with ladies who engage in prostitution and any other illegal stuff just to live that unnecessary life.

This is why a simplified lifestyle always saves the day.

Although, I have to add that reading novels, especially Cowboy like novels, did help with the minimalist lifestyle. I just love reading that sort of novel where the lady doesn't care about material stuff and just does things in the ranch with her husband.

This sort of simplified feeling always warms my heart just like listening to the waves of the sea. It is calming and comes with zero heartache.

Thanks for reading.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
