English version below!

Who is the composer?

The question that gives the title to this post does not correspond to a riddle that I am going to place here, it is more about a challenge, but not in the way in which we are accustomed in Hive. It is a challenge to pay tribute to the great artists who have dedicated their lives to creating wonderful melodies and songs and to give them a fair recognition for "those songs that have touched our souls".

This post is the result of several recent experiences, in which I have seen that some of the artists who have sung these songs are placed as authors of them. In some cases the lack of "commitment" is such that they place as composer people who have not even performed the song.

The composer's work is hard and requires a formal study, just like any other performing musician. Of course, there are composers who have not had that study, but they have the "gift" of being able to create beautiful and original melodies and in many cases, write beautiful lyrics for it themselves. Of course, their effort requires the same recognition.

As a complement to this experience, which happened to me in several posts, I found a comment that was left in the Discord Chat of @la-colmena, by an extraordinary musician that we have on the platform, a professional of music in the full sense of the word, as is Rodnell Matos, @digitalopus, who wrote the following:

I think it's very good all the festivals and competitions that are being held in Hive.
I see with concern several users who do not mention the authors of the songs they play, unless they are the ones who compose the song they play.
Another case is when they place the authors in an erroneous way, for example, I saw a girl once who was performing the song "Venezuela" and she placed Luis Silva as the author, a big mistake, since the authors are the Spanish P. Herreros and J. L Armenteros. I call for reflection in this sense to all, without the authors, we would not have songs and masterpieces, so, let's give them their deserved recognition by naming them.
With love and with the best of intentions

There are, as I said, many more cases, but I don't think there is any need to quote them.

What I do consider to be FUNDAMENTAL, is that we give them recognition and "respect their right" as authors that they are and name them every time we perform their songs. I invite all the promoters of musical projects, communities, such as @edwardstobia, @cabelindsay, @enriquemarval, @ilazramusic, @gaborockstar, @beatriche and the musicians and singers, to make it a requirement for entries (and other posts), to find out who or which are the authors of the song to be performed and give them the respective credits in the post.

I think that in the same way as in every post we must cite the source of the images we use, all the more reason we must cite the creator of what is going to be "the center" of our post, that is to say, of the song we will sing or play.

I know that sometimes it is not so easy to get the information of some songs, but put each one in the place of them...

I think it's the minimum recognition to which the creator of that piece is entitled that we believe is worthwhile and that somehow it represents us and is the reason we chose it!
