Three Tune Tuesday that Rocks!

I really wasn't sure what I was going to write about this morning when I first got up. I had some business to attend to early on so I got distracted and didn't really get a chance until the afternoon to get going on a post. It is Tuesday so I will be sharing a Three Tune Tuesday and want to do a shoutout to @ablaze to thank him for starting and continuing to sponsor the event. One person is randomly selected weekly and wins some HSBI units which are always a great thing to pile up to increase your earnings here on Hive.

Today I thought I might be doing another #TTT with some music in Spanish. I hadn't really nailed down what I wanted to do, and then I saw @bozz had done a post entitled "I Wanna Rock". That settled it, the genre was going to have to be rock. So I went ahead and added in a banner of a skeleton playing a flaming guitar, perfect for heavy metal! What surprised me about his post is that he didn't include the song "I Wanna Rock" which is where I assumed he would be going. Instead he pulled three modern rock bands out of his magic hat that were all fantastic. So much so that the first song I'm including comes from the first band on his post today.

However, I couldn't get the missing void of the classic Twisted Sister song "I Wanna Rock" out of my head so I had to throw that in here. It's a classic fun song from the peak of the glam rock era. So without further ado let's dive in to my picks of the day!

Goodbye June

Coming out of Nashville, Tennessee this band has been around since 2009. I hadn't heard of them until today when I listened to listened to @bozz 's Three Tune Tuesday and I must say I have become a quick fan. They have a great metal sound that really does remind me a bit of AC/DC in their early years. I'm going to be diving in a lot deeper this week into this band's music. This is a song I just found on YouTube, "Three Chords":

OK, now I scratch that missing song itch!

Twisted Sister

Twisted Sister was a heavy metal band that formed in New Jersey in 1972. It took ten long years to get a recording contract and released their first album in 1982. By the early 80's they were glam rock to the extreme as you can tell in the video with lead singer Dee Snider's outfit and makeup. Their first two albums didn't gain much traction or playtime. Their third album was a break through success with the song "We're Not Gonna Take It" and to a lesser degree this song, "I Wanna Rock"

SpongeBob SquarePants

And for any of you who have seen the first SpongeBob SquarePants movie know about the SpongeBob version of the song above. I can never resist sharing it when "I wanna Rock" proceeds it. SpongeBob is one of the characters I learned to love as my son grew up and was his favorite show. If you didn't have kids that grew up with it you may not get it, I know my mom never could understand the draw to it. She passed away in 2014 so it has been a few years. It's a fun show, that much is for sure. But this is a great spin on Twisted Sister's classic song with a bit of a David Lee Roth cameo versed into the middle, it's hard to miss. It's well worth the listen. Here's "I'm a Goofy Goober":

That will wrap up this edition of #threetunetuesday . I hope you like at least one of the picks from the day. Three very different songs though all in the heavy metal genre. It sure made it fun to assemble. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below. Thanks so much for you support, it is really greatly appreciated. Have a great Tuesday!
