Last May 27, right after joining teacher Robert's night art party, I headed to watch a fundraising concert called One Love Asia which was participated by various artists from Asian countries. The online event which streamed on Youtube was organized by WebTVAsia and Youtube where proceeds will go to support Unicef Asia.
The concert have an amazing guest artists like Namewee of Malaysia, Choi Siwon of South Korea, Sam Tsui, Marie Kondo of Japan, Morning Musume 20 of Japan, A-Pink of South Korea, Exile of Japan, Lost Stories and Jonita Gandhi of India, Mario Maurer of Thailand, and a lot more.
I think I learned a Malaysian phrase from Namewee's song "OK Lah!". It's "Makan tidur, tidur makan" which means "Eat sleep, sleep eat." 😆 A phrase that is so relatable this 2020. Lol.
A group performance of original music from various artists from each country was also shown. For the Philippines, they aired the song "We Heal As One".
Of course, Filipino artists were also invited at the event. Some of them were Christian Bautista, Rico Blanco, Morisette, and Ranz and Kyle. The concert ended with Morisette's performance.
An after party ensued where three DJs played for an hour before the event officially ended.
If you wish to donate, the stream will be up on Youtube for 30 days so you can still watch the 5-hour long online concert and click the donate button on the page.
ONE LOVE ASIA FUNDRAISING CONCERT FOR UNICEF ASIA
It's nice to watch this online concert because I was able to listen and know artists from our neighboring countries. One of the performers I enjoyed listening to was this. A performance by Lost Stories and Jonita Gandhi.
