Hola amigos de la comunidad Music, saludos en este inicio de mes. Les diré algo, aunque siempre he tenido el deseo de publicar sobre música, es la primera vez que hago un post del tema, y lo quise traer aquí pues esta comunidad me parece excelente. No es que yo sea músico profesional (ni aficionado), sino que me crié oyendo buena música, y eso es algo invaluable, porque me permite apreciar algo tan hermoso y extraordinario como es este arte.
Hello friends of the Music community, greetings at the beginning of the month. I'll tell you something, although I've always had the desire to post about music, it's the first time I've made a post about it, and I wanted to bring it here because this community seems excellent to me. It's not that I'm a professional (or amateur) musician, but rather that I grew up listening to good music, and that's something invaluable, because it allows me to appreciate something as beautiful and extraordinary as this art is.

El fin de semana pasado, vi su estupendo post anterior y pues quise esperar esta nueva edición, para traerles una de las mejores bandas de música en Inglés, que según mi criterio han existido y esta es Fleetwood Mac.
This time I wanted to take advantage of the invitation that @ablaze makes every Tuesday in his [Three Tune Tuesday](https: //peakd.com/hive-193816/@ablaze/sigur-ros-for-three-tune-tuesday-week-58). Last weekend I saw his previous post and I wanted to wait for this new edition, to bring one of the best music bands in English, which according to my criteria have ever existed and this is Fleetwood Mac.
No haré una biografía de este grupo, ni me adentraré en una reseña de su obra, pues de esto hay harta información tanto en la web, como en libros, revistas, etc.; sin embargo, sí hablaré de cómo conocí a esta banda y de mi experiencia al oír sus canciones; de hecho, tengo un disco de acetato o LP de ellos, que alguien me obsequió décadas atrás, y del cual les comparto algunas fotografías en este post.
I will not make a biography of this group, nor will I delve into a review of their work, since there is plenty of information about this on the web, as well as in books, magazines, etc.; however, I will talk about how I met this band and my experience listening to their songs; in fact, I have an acetate or LP record of them, that someone gave me decades ago, and of which I share some photographs in this post.
Como pueden ver, es un disco compilatorio de las mejores canciones de la banda. Esta edición fue hecha en Venezuela por Rodven Discos, empresa que durante la década de los 1980 fue la casa disquera más importante de mi país, pues sacaban constantemente al mercado tanto discos de música venezolana, (tradicional y de otros géneros), como música extranjera. Los discos eran de gran calidad, bella presentación y asequibles. Si ven el precio de venta al público (P.V.P.) que trae el empaque, este era de 140 bolívares de ese año (1988), lo que equivaldría a 3.85 dólares americanos de la época (pueden consultar en la bibliografía de este post, la fuente de donde tomé este dato).
As you can see, it's a compilation album of the band's best songs. This edition was made in Venezuela by Rodven Discos, a company that during the 1980s was the most important record company in my country, as they constantly released both Venezuelan music records (traditional and other genres) and foreign music. . The records were of high quality, beautifully presented and affordable. If you see the price of sale to the public (P.V.P.) that the package brings, it was 140 bolívares of that year (1988), which would be equivalent to 3.85 US dollars at the time (you can consult in the bibliography of this post, the source).
Este acetato tiene como portada el característico símbolo de Fleetwood Mac, que es una especie de flor de lis en un fondo verde aceituna. Adicionalmente, trae un inserto de papel bond, que por un lado muestra fotos del grupo a lo largo de diversas presentaciones, y por el otro ofrece datos respecto al compilatorio, así como agradecimientos y dedicatoria. Lamentablemente no puedo reproducir este LP, porque en la actualidad carezco del equipo de sonido para este tipo de discos, tuve uno muy bueno, pero se deterioró con el uso y el tiempo.
This acetate has the characteristic Fleetwood Mac symbol as its cover, which is a kind of fleur-de-lis on an olive green background. Additionally, it comes with a bond paper insert, which on one side shows photos of the group throughout various presentations, and on the other offers data regarding the compilation, as well as acknowledgments and dedication. Unfortunately I can't play this LP, because I don't currently have the sound equipment for this type of record, I had a very good one, but it deteriorated with use and time.
La primera vez que oí a Fleetwood Mac, (aunque quizá ya yo los había oído antes, pero no presté atención), fue en los tempranos 80, quizás 1982, en una radio A.M. de la ciudad en la que vivía, en un programa de rock que transmitían a diario en horas de la tarde, y la canción fue Dreams. Cuando oí esa bella canción quedé fascinada por la calidad musical del grupo en general, y especialmente de esa batería y esas guitarras, uff, suenan realmente bien, además la voz de Stevie Nicks es dulce, armoniosa y fluida. Si bien es una canción del año 1977 (disco Rumours), yo la conocí 5 años después y me impactó. A continuación comparto el enlace, con el cual pueden disfrutar de esta obra maestra.
The first time I heard Fleetwood Mac, (although maybe I had heard them before, but didn't pay attention), was in the early 80's, maybe 1982, on an A.M. radio. from the city where I lived, in a rock program that was broadcast daily in the afternoon, and the song was Dreams. When I heard that beautiful song I was fascinated by the musical quality of the group in general, and especially that drums and those guitars, uff, they sound really good, plus Stevie Nicks' voice is sweet, harmonious and fluid. Although it is a song from the year 1977 (Rumours album), I met it 5 years later and it impacted me. Below I share the link, with which you can enjoy this masterpiece.
Una vez que supe que en el planeta había algo tan genial como Fleetwood Mac, traté de no perderles pista; claro en 1982 era mucho más complicado que en la actualidad mantenerse al día con la música, especialmente en Latinoamérica. Para la época no había Internet, a mi país no habían llegado las estaciones radiales de F.M., ni tampoco existía televisión por cable y mucho menos la televisora MTV; por tanto, sólo quedaban las revistas especializadas, y el estar pendiente de cuándo lanzaban los estrenos musicales en los programas radiales; así que me conformé con tratar de buscar y oír otras canciones del grupo. Pero en el año 1984 llegó a mis oídos esta otra buena canción, que si bien había visto luz dos años antes en el LP “Mirage”, fue en este momento que sonó en Venezuela, y esta es la muy conocida Hold me, la cual tiene un sonido muy cadencioso, lo que hacía que fuese una melodía pegajosa y hermosa a la vez. Once I knew there was something as cool as Fleetwood Mac on the planet, I tried to keep track of them; of course, in 1982 it was much more complicated than today to keep up with the music, especially in Latin America. At that time there was no Internet, FM radio stations had not arrived in my country, nor did cable television exist, much less the MTV television station; therefore, only the specialized magazines remained, and try to being aware of when they launched the musical premieres on the radio programs; so I settled for trying to find and listen to other songs by the group. Pasó el tiempo, y me seguía gustando Fleetwood Mac, ¿cómo no gustarme si es una banda estupenda?, y entonces estoy en ese momento ya en el año 1987. Ya para ese año había mayor posibilidad de estar al día de la música que se hacía en el mundo, especialmente en Estados Unidos e Inglaterra, debido a que muchas personas del área del entretenimiento, (músicos, locutores, productores musicales, empresarios), viajaban al extranjero y traían discos y revistas; de allí que era relativamente más rápida la llegada de la nueva música a tierras venezolanas. Bueno, lo cierto es que estando yo en pleno despecho adolescente, ya a finales de ese año escucho Little lies, literalmente sentí que esa canción era para mí, y ¿cómo no sentir eso con esta letra que me calzaba como anillo al dedo?
Time passed, and I still liked Fleetwood Mac, how can I not like it if it's a great band? For that moment, there was more possibility of being up-to-date with the music that was being made in the world, especially in the United States and England, due to the fact that many people from the entertainment area (musicians, announcers, music producers, businessmen) traveled abroad and brought records and journals; hence the arrival of new music in Venezuelan lands was relatively faster. Well, the truth is that when I was in full adolescent spite, at the end of that year I heard Little lies, I literally felt that this song was for me, and how can I not feel that with these lyrics that fit like a glove?
Ajá, yo sé, es una letra conformista, pero bueno, para el momento me sonó maravillosa, además la melodía es realmente buena, como siempre la calidad musical de la banda es excelente, el intro es precioso y otra vez el buen sonido de la batería toma protagonismo, además, las voces son estupendas.
