Three Tune Tuesday Christmas Special

Hello! It's me @saydie and I hope that everyone was having a good Tuesday. After all this months of hiatus, I finally came back for another #threetunetuesday which is a contest by ablaze to showcase 3 songs. I'm not particularly attached with the season but since holidays are coming close, I'm gonna focus my post for songs related with the season so buckle up your headphones and enjoy.

Issues - Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays ('N Sync Cover)

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays was originally made by the boy band NSYNC that was covered by Issues for the album Punk Goes Christmas in collaboration with different bands. While this was a cover song, Issues revised some of the songs lyrics to be more like a Christmas love song which is completely different to the family- oriented song by NSYNC and from pop genre to punk. The song tells how the most awaited time of the year becomes more special when we spent it with our special one.

The Kinks - Father Christmas

An original from The Kinks, Father Christmas was about a department store Father Christmas, which is an English personification of Christmas, that was beaten by a group of poor kids because rather than toys, they prefer to have money and reserved those toys for the rich kids. I do not condone violence but the reality is that despite the season, some families finds it hard just to make the ends meet and this kids must be really desperate to do that. Regardless of the messages, the song was really lively and have interesting guitar parts but was still able to have that Christmas atmosphere in their song.

Coldplay- Christmas Lights

As I said, Christmas is not always a happy time for people as there are some that are struggling to survive, there are also those without homes or suffering from a breakup and for Coldplay's Christmas Lights tells that on the night of Christmas, a fight took place between a couple and they ended breaking- up but despite this, watching the Christmas Lights that keeps lighting the streets, the person remains hopeful that all his worries and problems be gone and perhaps her partner even comes back to him

And that was it for this week's #threetunetuesday post. Thank you very much if you made it until the end and you can tell me which song have you liked or was something that you never heard.

See you until next time!
