NEW RELEASE REVIEW. Kreator - Hate Über Alles (2022)

German thrash metal legends Kreator will celebrate their band's 40th anniversary in 2022. Naturally, I also mean on those times when the gang still bore the name Tormentor. And the thrash monsters celebrated this event in the best way - the release of their fifteenth disc called “Hate Über Alles”. We decided, so to speak, to please the fans. By the way, we had to wait five years for this time.

Once again, the team has undergone personnel changes: the bass guitar is now played by a former member of DragonForce. Kreator also began working with a new producer, Arthur Rizk, who previously worked closely with the notorious Soulfly.

An excerpt from an interview with frontman Mille Petrozza:

The album reflects the time in which we live. Everything is very loud and aggressive. The way we communicate has changed thanks to social media. This causes a big imbalance. The world is in a sorry state. Life is not harmonious now, it is disharmonious… that's where I was going with the title.

However, those who are waiting for the return of the good old thrash from the masters in “Hate Über Alles” may be disappointed with the presented material. The studio work was created in the same vein as the previous release "Phantom Antichrist" and "Gods Of Violence". At the same time, some numbers in the tracklist sound as if with an admixture of heavy and power, which in itself speaks of the musicians' experiments. But the most interesting thing is that the group still does not sound softer.

The new studio work from Kreator is perceived not quite immediately. A fan of thrash metal, in particular the early work of the band, will most likely want to forget this release. On the other hand, if you want to see Kreator from a different side, not quite typical for the band, “Hate Über Alles” is at your disposal.
