The Cults

Hello Hive Music Gang!

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

It's a late Tuesday evening, but that doesn't mean I would forget about sharing some tunes for #ttt. This week I share some cultish tunes, lots of music becomes very cult, but what about really cultish?

I am sure many people have at one time or another thought about going off grid to live in a community to escape the clown world that we live in. Some people may have already dabbled living in a few communities already. During the rona times, it saw a resurgance again when people fled the cities to escape the madness and what they would also call a cult.

When joining an off-grid community, I wonder if it can also feel abit like a cult too with hierarchies being created and certain group dynamics at play. If you fall foul of those group dynamics, it probably can turn pretty sour and I have known a few people leave previously happy communities and then move on after a while. Maybe that is the normal progression anyhow.

The first tune is by an indie band called Cults and their video was intertwined with footage from a supposed real cult that ended tragically in a place called Jonestown. The song has some irrie connitations when watching with the video.

Cults - Outside

I didn't join an offgrid community or a cult yet, but it is still on my bucklist. I quite enjoy solitude, so maybe I would need to join a small offgrid community rather than a big one.

The next tune is another one that I like by The Cults, although I believe they are just "Cults". The lead singer reminds me of an earlier Lana Del Rey, perhaps that was her inspiration?

Cults - Always Forever

The final cultish tune for today is from the awesome The Cult band who are a British rock band and should be in the rock and roll hall of fame with some of their great music.

Although many may argue this isn't their best tune, I really love this one for the amazing guitar work and great all round vibe to it that makes it pretty unique! Here they are rocking it pretty hard in the studio.

Their most popular song is probably Rain which I also love. It's amazing that so much great music came out of the 80s! What an era!

The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary

That wraps up my #ttt for this week. I hope you are having a great musical Tuesday. Whats your favorite tune this week?

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday.... to quote @ablaze :

The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize.

Be sure to head over and give @ablaze some support as without his great work, we wouldn't have a #ttt.
