Wallows es una banda de rock alternativo estadounidense proveniente de Los Ángeles formada por Braeden Lemasters, Cole Preston, y Dylan Minnette. La banda empezó a publicar canciones en abril de 2017 empezando con "Pleaser", el cual logró número dos en el ranking de Spotify Top Viral 50. En 2018, firmaron un contrato con la discográfica Atlantic Records y publicaron su EP debut Spring. Su álbum de estudio debut, Nothing Happens, salió a la venta en 2019 e incluyó su famoso sencillo "Are You Bored Yet?".
Esta banda está conformada por 3 chicos bastante divertidos y a la vez muy interesantes, si les soy sincera ya yo había escuchado sobre esta banda, pero nunca tuve la suficiente motivación para buscarlos y escucharlo, sin embargo el vocalista principal que viene siendo Dylan Minnette es también actor por lo que la primera vez que lo vi fue actuando en la serie “Por trece razones” tiempo después me entere que pertenecía a una banda.
Empezando este año fue que me atreví a escucharlos y vaya que no me arrepiento, su música es tan pegadiza, me gusta porque me hace recordar un poco a la banda “Younger Hunger” aunque realmente no se comparan, ambas bandas son muy buenas con su propio estilo.
Ahora si vayamos a ver cuáles son las mejores canciones de esta banda, debo resaltar que es mi opinión personal.

This band is conformed by 3 guys quite funny and at the same time very interesting, if I'm honest I had already heard about this band, but I never had enough motivation to look for them and listen to it, however the main vocalist who happens to be Dylan Minnette is also an actor so the first time I saw him was acting in the series "For thirteen reasons" time later I found out that he belonged to a band.
Starting this year I dared to listen to them and I don't regret it, their music is so catchy, I like it because it reminds me a little bit of the band "Younger Hunger" although they don't really compare, both bands are very good with their own style.
Now if we are going to see which are the best songs of this band, I must emphasize that this is my personal opinion.
Wallows - Are You Bored Yet?
Esta fue la primera canción que escuche de Wallows, al escucharlo por primera vez quede tan enganchada que no pude evitar escuchar sus otras canciones, sin embargo, esta canción guarda un espacio muy especial en mi corazón por varias razones que a continuación les comentare, pero antes de comenzar quiero resaltar que esta canción es una de mis favoritas.
Vídeo.
Considero que el vídeo es realmente artístico, pero a la vez un poco retro, o mejor dicho vintange, los colores que refleja en el vídeo clip están un poco apagados, pero sin duda coloridos, además de eso, debo resaltar que los efectos especiales que podemos admirar en el vídeo hacen que visualmente sea muy atrayente, de alguna forma a mí en lo personal me tele trasporta, el vídeo sin duda es un punto a favor.
Ritmo:
Estoy segura que cualquiera que escuche esta canción, Cerrara los ojos y sin darse cuenta estará moviendo su cuerpo al ritmo de esta joyita, aunque sé que muchas personas no les gusta este tipo de música. El ritmo también es un poco retro y bastante pegadiza.
Letra:
La letra me parece bastante interesante, considero que refleja la realidad de varios jóvenes al estar interesada/o de otra persona, o incluso cuando ya estas dentro de una relación amorosa, que ya tienen un tiempo de relación y se sienten un poco desinteresados y al no hablarlo termina siendo otra relación fallida o como dice la canción otro recuerdo más. Me gusta mucho la letra, siento que estas 3 razones son suficientes para seleccionarla como una de las mejores.
Wallows - Are You Bored Yet?
This was the first song I heard from Wallows, when I heard it for the first time I was so hooked that I could not avoid listening to his other songs, however, this song keeps a very special place in my heart for several reasons that I will discuss below, but before I start I want to emphasize that this song is one of my favorites.
Video.
I consider that the video is really artistic, but at the same time a little retro, or rather vintange, the colors that reflects in the video clip are a little off, but certainly colorful, besides that, I must emphasize that the special effects that we can admire in the video make it visually very appealing, somehow to me personally it transports me, the video is certainly a plus.
Rhythm:
I am sure that anyone who listens to this song, will close their eyes and without realizing it will be moving their body to the rhythm of this little gem, although I know that many people do not like this type of music. The beat is also a bit retro and quite catchy.
Lyrics:
I find the lyrics quite interesting, I consider that it reflects the reality of several young people when being interested in someone else, or even when you are already in a love relationship, who already have a relationship for a while and feel a little disinterested and by not talking about it ends up being another failed relationship or as the song says just another memory. I really like the lyrics, I feel that these 3 reasons are enough to select it as one of the best.
Wallows - Remember When.
Me gusta mucho el ritmo rock indie que tiene esta canción es muy pegadiza, quisiera resaltar que las canciones que mas me suelen gustar provienen de los álbumes anteriores, porque el ultimo que lanzaron se alejaron un poco a mi parecer de ese sonido tan característico que tiene sus primeras canciones, que es más al género Indie rock, sin embargo, esta canción no me decepciono por las siguientes razones.
Vídeo.
De lejos veras que el vídeo es relativamente normal, pero al transcurrir notaras detalles realmente artísticos además lo que hace que este vídeo sea original es el efecto gracioso que hacen que sus rostros se vean un poco deformes y grandes, la verdad a mí me gusta, pero la razón principal por la cual elegí esta canción fue por su ritmo.
Ritmo.
El ritmo de esta canción es muy bueno, no sé cómo describir ese sonido que tanto me gusta, la verdad no se mucho de instrumento o en general de música, pero esta canción tiene un sonido al fondo que me atrapa de inmediato, espero que algunos de ustedes puedan entender lo que estoy tratando de decir, en fin esa es la razón principal.
Letra.
Me gusta la letra porque también es otra joyita que refleja la realidad de muchas personas, es decir, cuando una persona no ha olvidado a su ex, pero más allá de eso, quiere decir que esa persona desea tener otra oportunidad para revivir esos momentos que tanto recuerda con nostalgia. Muy buena la verdad.
Wallows - Remember When.

Lyrics.
I like the lyrics because it is also another little gem that reflects the reality of many people, that is, when a person has not forgotten his ex, but beyond that, it means that person wants to have another chance to relive those moments that he remembers with nostalgia. Very good indeed.

Esta canción me gusta porque tiene un sonido similar a la anterior, un sonido más ochentero, eso me gusta mucho, pero a la vez tiene ese fuerte sonido de la guitarra eléctrica y eso da un efecto de rock en varias oportunidades, la verdad no sabría cómo describirlo, pero el ritmo es lo principal que me engancha.
El vídeo está grabado en formato de vídeo antiguo y eso lo hace querer ver vintange, y me encanta porque congenia mucho con el ritmo, por otro lado, la letra es relativamente normal, no le encuentro un gran historia o algo por estilo y la verdad está bien, no todas las canciones tienen que llevar una gran historia o tener lógica la letra.

I like this song because it has a similar sound to the previous one, a more eighties sound, I like that a lot, but at the same time it has that strong sound of the electric guitar and that gives a rock effect in several opportunities, I really don't know how to describe it, but the rhythm is the main thing that hooks me.
The video is recorded in old video format and that makes you want to see vintange, and I love it because it fits a lot with the rhythm, on the other hand, the lyrics are relatively normal, I do not find a great story or something like that and the truth is fine, not all songs have to carry a great story or have logical lyrics.
Wallows – 1980s Horror Film.
Esta canción sin duda tiene un estilo bastante ochentero, aunque me encuentro un poco confundida porque siento que en esta canción canta otra persona, a lo mejor si, tal vez este cantando otro integrante de la banda, de igual manera suena muy bien, lo que más me gusta es tanto la letra como el vídeo.
Por un instante pensé que se trataba de un vídeo real de esa época, ya luego noté que estaba inspirado en los años 80, que tonta no ¿? en fin, la canción es muy buena y sobre todo movida, te transporta a los años 80 y te incita a bailar, se las recomiendo mucho.

Esta canción es realmente pegadiza, tanto fue mi obsesión que la puse en una historia de Instagram junto con un vídeo que me hicieron que tenía un efecto retro, lo que más me suele gustar de esta canción es su letra, es sin duda interesante, sé que muchos de ustedes a lo mejor han pasado por esa situación, trata de dos personas que se conocieron un verano y tuvieron una aventura, pero al finalizar el verano terminaron y se alejaron, pero al mismo tiempo siguen teniendo sentimientos encontrados, cuéntenme le ha pasado ¿?
Lo otro que más me gusta es sus ritmo alegre y movido que te incita a bailar a saltos, además el vídeo te muestra a los integrantes de la banda divirtiéndose y haciendo locuras es realmente interesante.
Bueno amigos a pesar de ser una banda que no está cerca de ser mi favorita, sí que hay canciones que disfruto mucho, sobre todo estas que mencione, tienen un estilo que está muy marcado en su música u imagen, y es algo que le reconozco bastante porque por más que suban canciones cada una trasmite la misma esencia.
