Sharing Some Irish Rap For TTT

Kneecap is a group I've been following for a while, they rap in both English and Gaelic, and they're based in Belfast. Recently I saw a BBC interview with them talking about a film they wrote and produced which is a semi-fictionalised retelling of how they formed, and it's being shown at Sun Dance Film Festival, and it's the first Gaelic language film to get onto it.

Here's A Link To The Interview If You Want To Check It Out.

Guilty Conscience - Kneecap

This song is pretty good and came out a few years ago. I like the music used for it and think it has a good fast pace that the lads keep pace with throughout.

The video is really good too, and is a good example of a video using one location but being entertaining.

Better Way To Live - Kneecap feat - Grain Chatten

This is one that released a few months back that I only recently came across, it's mainly in Irish and is pretty cool.

A couple of years ago there was a gig getting put on that we were playing at and the organiser said that they reached out to these lads to headline it, but the price they wanted for doing it was 2,000 Euros. They were already fairly big at that time and would have easily sold out the place, but no one had the money for them off the bat.

The venue wasn't large enough to hold enough people to make that much money anyway, so it was for the best. It would have been cool if they came down and done it though.

Sick In The Head - Kneecap

This one is their most recent song, and while it's fairly short, it's good and the video is decent for it too.

Good videos to accompany the music is the key to getting your stuff out there nowadays, me and the lads have about 5 ideas for videos for our songs now that the second album is coming out.

We want to record and release a few videos with the songs as we're releasing the album to help get a bit more traction. One before, then another as it releases, and a few more throughout the year.
