Hello friends of Hive, I hope you are very well, today I would like to talk to you about a topic that really worries me and in a way fills me with sadness because perhaps many musicians who make life in this community at some point decide to abandon our music for different reasons, some personal, others social, or even cultural.
I believe that anyone in the world who intends to make music or be a musician can do it, it is a matter of wanting, it is not that if your grandfather, your father or your uncle was a musician that will make the path easier for you, because the it is not true.
I come from a family where there are no musicians, and my brothers and I say we are going this way, but no one else, the closest thing you hear to music or art is my family, it was my father's grandmother who according to me account played four Venezuelan.
Now making this point clear, let's talk about the reasons why many who start, do not advance in music.
1 Lack of support:
Many times it happens that you feel very passionate about music, and your parents see that interest in you, and they tell you "But have music as a hobby, study a different career at the university so that you can be someone in life" and It turns out that what you want to be is a Musician, that what you are good at is making music, but you end up succumbing to the order imposed by your parents and perhaps you have lost the privilege of being someone successful in music.
2 Lack of Discipline:
Lack of discipline is one of the factors that can commonly be seen in the abandonment of art or music study.
Music as well as sports requires a lot of discipline and a lot of perseverance, perhaps we can start studying the instrument or music with a lot of impetus and with great enthusiasm but when we realize that it requires a lot of practice, a lot of training or simply that it requires a long time to be able to achieve something so sadly what we do is give up.
We must clarify a quite important point, since many times the lack of discipline is accompanied or preceded by a false vocation to be a musician, we must take into account, be clear and analyze many times if it really is what we want to do, if it really we can pay the price it takes to be a musician.
When I refer to paying the price, he spoke about the extensive hours of study that we commonly have on a daily basis, the long hours of practice with the instrument, the hours that we may have to spend with a private teacher or in the conservatory. Without a doubt, it is more vocation than genetics!
3 Distractions:
It usually happens a lot when we are teenagers who start to study an instrument or make music, our worst enemy can be having so many distractions and when I talk about extractions I mean other activities that can occupy the time that we could dedicate to music.
It is clear that going to school or going to secondary school is totally normal and we must do it is essential for the formation of an adolescent as a person, but I do consider that there are other activities that we must put aside if we really consider and are sure that we have vocation for music.
4 Cultural, Political and Social Reasons:
This reason may not be seen in many of the countries where you may be reading this post, but in my country there are cultural, political and social reasons that have led many people, young people and adults to abandon the wonderful art of music.
In Venezuela currently the musician makes music in his room and this due to political mismanagement, which is already dictatorial, it should be noted, has ended the musical culture in the country.
Therefore, to live in a country where the minimum wage is less than $ 3 a month, many of the musicians have had to abandon their art and dedicate themselves to getting their daily bread doing activities that have absolutely nothing to do with music, sadly they have nothing to do with the art to which they spent so much time and this is not the fault of the music.
Reasons for abandoning music can be many, but I consider that music belongs to those who carry it inside and at some point those people who abandoned it, music will find them.

Hola amigos de Hive, espero estén muy bien, hoy me gustaría hablarles de un tema que de verdad me inquieta y de cierto modo llena de tristeza porque quizás muchos músicos que hacemos vida en esta comunidad en algún momento decidimos abandonar nuestra música por distintas razones, algunas personales, otras sociales, o hasta culturales.
Considero que cualquier persona en el mundo que se proponga a hacer música o a ser músico puede hacerlo, es cuestión de querer, no se trata de que si tu abuelo, tu papa o tu tío fue músico eso te hará más fácil el camino, porque la verdad no es así.
Yo vengo de una familia donde no hay músicos, y mis hermanos y yo si decimos irnos por este camino, pero nadie más, lo más cercano que se escucha de música o de arte es mi familia, era la abuela de mi papa que según me cuenta tocaba cuatro venezolano.
Ahora dejando este punto claro, hablemos de las razones por las cuales muchos que comienzan, no avanzan en la música.
1 Falta de apoyo:
Muchas veces pasa que te sientes muy apasionado por la música, y tus padres ven ese interés en ti, y de una te dicen "Pero ten la música como hobbie, estudia una carrera diferente en la universidad para que seas alguien en la vida" y resulta que lo que quieres ser es Musico, que para lo que eres bueno es para hacer música, pero terminas sucumbiendo ante la orden impuesta por tus padres y quizás te haz perdido del privilegio de ser alguien exitoso en la música.
2 Falta de Disciplina:
La falta de disciplina es uno de los factores que comúnmente se pueden apreciar en el abandono del arte o del estudio musical.
La música al igual que el deporte requiere de mucha disciplina y de mucha constancia, quizás podemos arrancar a estudiar el instrumento o la música con mucho ímpetu y con muchas ganas pero cuando nos damos cuenta que requiere de mucha práctica de mucho entrenamiento o sencillamente que requiere mucho tiempo para poder lograr algo entonces tristemente lo que hacemos es abandonar.
Hay que aclarar un punto bastante importante, ya que muchas veces la falta de disciplina viene acompañado o viene precedido de una falsa vocación para ser músico hay que tener en cuenta, estar claro y analizar muchas veces si realmente es lo que queremos hacer, si realmente podemos pagar el precio que requiere ser músico.
Cuando me refiero a pagar el precio habló sobre las extensas horas de estudio que comúnmente tendremos a diario, las largas jornadas de práctica con el instrumento, las horas que posiblemente tendremos que pasar con un profesor particular o en el conservatorio. ¡Sin duda que es más vocación que genética!
3 Distracciones:
Suele pasar mucho cuando somos adolescentes que comenzamos a estudiar un instrumento o hacer música, nuestro peor enemigo puede ser tener tantas distracciones y cuando hablo de extracciones me refiero a otras actividades que puedan ocuparnos el tiempo que pudiésemos dedicarle a la música.
Está claro que ir a la escuela o ir a la secundaria es totalmente normal y debemos hacerlo es primordial para la formación de un adolescente como persona, pero sí considero que hay otras actividades que debemos dejar a un lado si realmente consideramos y estamos seguros que tenemos vocación para la música.
4 Razones Culturales, Políticas y Sociales:
Esta razón quizás no se ven en muchos de los países de donde puedan estar leyendo este post, pero en mi país existen razones culturales, políticas y sociales que han llevado a muchas personas, jóvenes y adultos a abandonar el maravilloso arte de la música.
En Venezuela actualmente el músico hace música en su habitación y esto debido a que una mala gestión política, que ya es dictatorial cabe destacar, a acabado con la cultura musical en el país.
Por ende a vivir en un país donde el sueldo mínimo es menos de $3 al mes, mucho de los músicos han tenido que abandonar su arte y dedicarse a conseguir el pan de cada día haciendo actividades que no tienen absolutamente nada que ver con la música, tristemente no tienen nada que ver con el arte al cual le dedicaron tanto tiempo y esto no es culpa de la música.
Razones para abandonar la música pueden ser muchas, pero yo considero que la música es de quien la lleva por dentro y en algún momento a esas personas que la abandonaron, la música los va a encontrar a ellos.
