Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing to you from Cape Town in South Africa!
Welcome to "Three Tune Tuesday", an initiative started by @ablaze. It is week 139 overall! My current pattern for how I will be contributing to TTT is to take the Hive Open Mic challenge Theme of the Week and give suggestions on how I would tackle it!
For those of you who are not familiar, the Hive Open Mic is a weekly challenge on the Hive Open Mic community for anybody who loves to sing. You don’t even need to play an instrument, a backing track or a cappella is also fine as far as I can tell!
Different artists are given the chance to choose a “Theme of the Week” that the posts should be based on. Often it can be difficult for people to think about easy songs that might fit that theme… so let me see if I can be of any assistance to the people who still might not know what to try by the time Tuesday comes around!

As you can see, it was the turn of @rasecdus to pick a theme, and this week the theme is “Rebelion”, which believe-it-or-not, translates into Rebellion in English!
Ooh, I get to be the rebel-hopefully-with-a-cause! What am I rebelling against?
SONG NUMBER 1
“Sunday Bloody Sunday” – U2
This is the famous opening track on U2’s 1983 album “War”, and it commemorates the “Bloody Sunday” event where British troops shot and killed unarmed civil rights protestors in Derry, Northern Ireland. This is rated as one of the best, and most-famous, political protest songs ever.
SONG NUMBER 2
“Wake Up” – Rage Against the Machine
I first heard this song on the Matrix soundtrack, and I absolutely love it as a piece of Rebellion art. It talks about how people who talk against the mainstream narrative or the elite in power land up dead with the pivotal line “they gave the power to the have-nots, then came the shot!”
SONG NUMBER 3
“I kissed a Girl” – Katy Perry
Yes, you read that right. Katy Perry’s debut single back in 2008 challenges societal norms and is therefore an act of rebellion. Apparently the record label was concerned about how the song was ever going to be played in places like the Bible Belt, but as we know, it did okay in the end!
So that's week 139 done and dusted! I hope that gave some people some ideas on how to tackle the Hive Open Mic Challenge this week? Perhaps I’ve even inspired one or two new people to give it a try? Please let me know!

Bienvenidos a "Three Tune Tuesday", una iniciativa iniciada por @ablaze. ¡Es la semana 139 en total! Mi patrón actual sobre cómo contribuiré a TTT es tomar el tema de la semana del desafío Hive Open Mic y dar sugerencias sobre cómo lo abordaría.
Para aquellos de ustedes que no están familiarizados, Hive Open Mic es un desafío semanal en la comunidad de Hive Open Mic para cualquiera que ame cantar. ¡Ni siquiera necesitas tocar un instrumento, por lo que yo sé, una pista de acompañamiento o a capela también está bien!
Diferentes artistas tienen la oportunidad de elegir un “Tema de la semana” en el que se basarán las publicaciones. A menudo puede resultar difícil para las personas pensar en canciones sencillas que puedan encajar con ese tema... ¡así que déjenme ver si puedo ser de alguna ayuda para las personas que quizás todavía no sepan qué probar cuando llegue el martes!

“Domingo Domingo Sangriento” – U2
Esta es la famosa canción de apertura del álbum “War” de U2 de 1983, y conmemora el evento del “Domingo Sangriento” donde las tropas británicas dispararon y mataron a manifestantes desarmados por los derechos civiles en Derry, Irlanda del Norte. Está calificada como una de las mejores y más famosas canciones de protesta política de todos los tiempos.

“Despierta” – Rage Against the Machine
Escuché esta canción por primera vez en la banda sonora de Matrix y me encanta como obra de arte de Rebellion. Habla de cómo las personas que hablan en contra de la narrativa dominante o de la élite en el poder terminan muertas con la frase fundamental: "¡Le dieron el poder a los que no tienen, y luego vino el disparo!".
