COVER Request Contest Week 15! - Winner of 50% Post Rewards (in HP): @jessicaossom! Your Turn Next?

Hello everybody on HIVE, and especially the Music Community. My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from South Africa!

I am into the 15th week of this challenging series of posts I have set myself for Thursdays! BUT I Need your Help to keep going please!

This is the challenge I'm setting myself every Thursday: I ask for cover song requests on the MUSIC community (make a comment on this post to take part by suggesting a song for me to try), and then I pick a favourite song to learn and post a live video of me attempting it. The person who asked for the winning song then gets 50% of the post rewards in HP! (If I pick a second song, that person gets 20% of the post rewards in HP as well!) It's as simple as that! (Well for everyone but me who then has to learn to sing and play new songs! Haha!)

You'll notice that I'm not in my normal place, and don't have my microphone or amp... I have gone up the coast to a small village by the sea to celebrate New Years...

This week's winner is @jessicaossom from Lagos in Nigeria, who asked me to do "Easy on Me" by Adele! Well, I sing about a full octave lower than Adele, and it's actually quite a complex song melodically... but let me give it a shot at learning it quickly for you!!

Here is the original version:

So well done to @jessicaossom for winning this week! You win 50% of this post rewards in HP!

For everybody else reading this, please take part! All you have to do is make a comment on this post with a suggestion for a cover song that you would like me to attempt next week. Give it a shot!!

Lyrics for "Easy on Me" by Adele

There ain't no gold in this river
That I've been washin' my hands in forever
I know there is hope in these waters
But I can't bring myself to swim
When I am drowning in this silence
Baby, let me in

Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
Didn't get the chance to
Feel the world around me
I had no time to choose
What I chose to do
So go easy on me

There ain't no room for things to change
When we are both so deeply stuck in our ways
You can't deny how hard I have tried
I changed who I was to put you both first
But now I give up

Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
Didn't get the chance to
Feel the world around me
Had no time to choose
What I chose to do
So go easy on me

I had good intentions
And the highest hopes
But I know right now
That probably doesn't even show

Go easy on me, baby
I was still a child
I didn't get the chance to
Feel the world around me
I had no time to choose
What I chose to do
So go easy on me
