¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi clásica reseña de todas las semanas para empezar las mismas con energía, hoy decidí ponerme un poco romántico porque debo confesar que en este momento me siento a plenitud emocional, amanecí enamorado de la vida y de mi Trinidad (@ladyunicorn y @dimeshana) más que nunca, así que voy a compartir unas canciones de un grupo que toda la vida me ha fascinado llamado Gondwana y, por supuesto, va con especial dedicatoria para las dos mujeres que más me hacen feliz en esta vida.
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you my classic review of every week to start the same with energy, today I decided to get a little romantic because I must confess that right now I feel emotionally full, I woke up in love with life and my Trinidad (@ladyunicorn and @dimeshana) more than ever, so I'm going to share some songs of a group that has fascinated me all my life called Gondwana and, of course, goes with special dedication to the two women who make me happier in this life.
Gondwana es una agrupación de reggae proveniente de Santiago de Chile, específicamente de la región de Huechuraba; la primera vez que los escuché me enamoré perdidamente de su música porque siempre he sido un romántico empedernido, entonces, me encanta demasiado, siento que cada canción es una oda al romanticismo que puede ser dedicado a cabalidad, así que, vamos con este post especialmente romántico.
Gondwana is a reggae band from Santiago de Chile, specifically from the region of Huechuraba; the first time I heard them I fell madly in love with their music because I have always been a hopeless romantic, so, I love it too much, I feel that every song is an ode to romanticism that can be fully dedicated, so, let's go with this specially romantic post.
1.- Felicidad
Esta es la primera canción que escuché de esta banda y en definitiva, tiene una de las letras más hermosas que hay en la vida, porque el hecho de celebrar la vida y decirle a una persona que forma parte de tu felicidad no tiene precio, además de que hay frases particulares que te recuerdan esa sensación de estar enamorado, como el hecho de que escuches a los pajaritos cantar cuando veas a esa persona sonreír, simplemente es magia aunada a dicho sentir.
Musicalmente esta canción es mágica, te da esa vibra de felicidad como lo dice su título, además también habla del hecho de que uno ya no se siente triste por tener a esa persona en tu vida, en mi caso son mis dos amores @ladyunicorn y @dimeshana que definitivamente borraron la tristeza de mi vida y me llenan de plenitud cada día, así que queda perfecta.
This is the first song I heard from this band and definitely has one of the most beautiful lyrics in life, because the fact of celebrating life and telling a person who is part of your happiness is priceless, plus there are particular phrases that remind you of that feeling of being in love, like the fact that you hear the birds sing when you see that person smile, it's just magic combined with that feeling.
Musically this song is magical, it gives you that vibe of happiness as its title says, plus it also speaks of the fact that one no longer feels sad to have that person in your life, in my case are my two loves @ladyunicorn and @dimeshana that definitely erased the sadness of my life and fill me with fullness every day, so it's perfect.
2.- Sentimiento Original
¿Cuántas veces hemos sufrido decepciones en la vida que nos hayan hecho pensar que tal vez el amor realmente no existe y que somos seres masoquistas que no tendremos la capacidad de amar? Pues, de eso se trata este temazo, es una manera de recordarle a esa persona que realmente es verdad que el amor existe y que la prueba más fehaciente de ello es el hecho de que esa persona te puede sacar de la rutina y hacerte sentir especial.
Esta canción es un poco más profunda y menos romántica pero sí tiene esa vibra de meditación y reflexión, además de ser un reggae muy sabroso para bailar.
How many times have we suffered disappointments in life that have made us think that maybe love does not really exist and that we are masochistic beings who will not have the capacity to love? Well, that's what this song is about, it's a way to remind that person that it really is true that love exists and that the most reliable proof of it is the fact that that person can take you out of the routine and make you feel special.
This song is a little deeper and less romantic but it does have that meditative and reflective vibe, plus it's a very tasty reggae song to dance to.
3.- Dulce Amor
Esta canción tiene metáforas increíblemente hermosas y tiene una letra bellísima con respecto al cómo se siente el hecho de pensar en esa persona especial, el coro es magnífico porque habla del cómo al final de todo, ya sea del día, de la vida, de lo que sea, siempre existirá un solo latido por la fusión entre el amor que tienes o sientes tú con el de esa persona, como si fuera una pequeña flor que va creciendo poco a poco hasta volverse un árbol frondoso es inquebrantable.
Esta canción me marcó tanto en la vida, que hace unos años hice un cover súper acústico, me había despertado a las 8:00am y aproveché que tenía una vista hermosa detrás, con mi hermosa ciudad de Caracas y dije, ¿por qué no agarrar mi cuatro y cantar un rato esta canción? Lo que más me encanta de esta canción además, son los coros, siempre he amado las armonías y además de ello, el saxofón que le da ese toque magistral.
This song has incredibly beautiful metaphors and has beautiful lyrics about how it feels to think about that special person, the chorus is magnificent because it speaks of how at the end of everything, whether it is the day, life, whatever, there will always be a single heartbeat by the merger between the love you have or feel with that person, as if it were a small flower that grows little by little until it becomes a leafy tree is unbreakable.
This song marked me so much in my life, that a few years ago I made a super acoustic cover, I had woken up at 8:00am and I took advantage of the beautiful view behind me, with my beautiful city of Caracas and I said, why not grab my cuatro and sing this song for a while? What I love most about this song are the choruses, I have always loved the harmonies and besides that, the saxophone gives it that masterful touch.
Bonus Track.- Mi Princesa
Este tema me encanta porque sale del común denominador de los temas estilo root y entra en el estilo riddim, cosa que me hizo enamorarme demasiado de este género porque siento que no tengo paciencia para cantar canciones tan lentas a pesar de estar perdidamente enamorado de este género.
Es algo cliché el decirle «Mi Princesa» a una chica cuando estás en una relación con ella, sin embargo, siento que para la época era algo hermoso y era algo que comúnmente me hacía sentir genial, pero luego crecí y obviamente cambiamos el estilo, pero esta canción nos habla de como el mismo Dios nos colocó en el camino de esa persona especial y uno no puede hacer más que sentirse agradecido, me pasa y me pasará siempre.
I love this song because it goes out of the common denominator of root style songs and into the riddim style, which made me fall in love with this genre too much because I feel like I don't have the patience to sing such slow songs despite being madly in love with this genre.
It is somewhat cliché to say "My Princess" to a girl when you are in a relationship with her, however, I feel that for the time it was something beautiful and it was something that commonly made me feel great, but then I grew up and obviously we changed the style, but this song tells us how God himself placed us in the path of that special person and one can not do more than feel grateful, it happens to me and it will always happen to me.
