Hoy ha llegado el gran día de nuestro, cabe destacar que digo nuestro, ya que se trata de un concierto de la Coral Polifónica de Oriente, de la cual formo parte como Soprano. La Music Night Tropical es un evento que ha traído mucha alegría a mi vida, desde el reto que representa preparar estas canciones tropicales hasta pensar en el mismo momento de estar en el escenario del Teatro Cajigal, un sitio lleno de historia y melodías, momento que mientras escribo estas líneas está más y más cerca.
Hoy será un día muy movido y por eso me encuentro por aquí, bien temprano, para hablarles un poco de un ensayo coral bien diferente que fue un preámbulo para el concierto de hoy. Es genial poder haber compartido un ensayo con músicos en vivo, específicamente con un percusionista y un tecladista, no es algo que paso todos los días en un ensayo, así que se transforma en una experiencia única e incomparable, que bien vale documentar y atesorar.
A nivel de sensaciones puedo decir que tengo la emoción a flor de piel, luego de ensayar por varios meses y escuchar solo nuestras voces, fue un momento estupendo cuando estando en el ensayo retumbó el tambor, sonó la clave y se sintió el metal de la charrasca llenando el ambiente de sabores caribeños. Otra hermosa sensación fue escuchar el teclado con su danza, volando traviesa por el salón, jugando con nuestras voces en diversos y especiales momentos de la canción.
El percusionista Julito Ramos, amablemente se ofreció a tocar con su Orquesta para hacer este evento que, Dios mediante, nos permitirá recaudar fondos para costear nuestra participación en el Festival Internacional de Coros Julio Villarroel, ha sido un gran gesto de su parte, así como también ha sido un valioso aporte el que han brindado los cantantes invitados, es genial poder encontrar artistas genuinos y colaboradores como ellos, la unión hace la fuerza y aquí queda bien claro.
Ya les estaré contando cómo me fue en el evento, estoy muy emocionada y con ganas inmensas de cantar estos hermosos temas tropicales como Piel Canela, La Piragüa y Prende la vela, entre otros, canciones que he escuchado desde muy pequeña que, de una u otra forma, acompañan la vida de todos aquellos que amamos a nuestro Caribe y que lo llevamos en las venas. ¡La noche promete ser encantadora!

Today has come a great day of our, it should be noted that I say our, because it is a concert of the Coral Polifónica de Oriente, of which I am part as a Soprano. The Tropical Music Night is an event that has brought a lot of joy to my life, from the challenge of preparing these tropical songs to the thought of the very moment of being on the stage of the Cajigal Theater, a place full of history and melodies, a moment that as I write these lines is closer and closer.
Today will be a very busy day and that is why I am here, very early, to tell you a little bit about a very different choral rehearsal that was a preamble for today's concert. It is great to have shared a rehearsal with live musicians, specifically with a percussionist and a keyboardist, it is not something that happens every day in a rehearsal, so it becomes a unique and incomparable experience, well worth documenting and treasuring.
After rehearsing for several months and listening only to our voices, it was a great moment when we were in rehearsal when the drum rumbled, the clave sounded and the metal of the charrasca filled the atmosphere with Caribbean flavors. Another beautiful sensation was listening to the keyboard with its dance, flying mischievously through the room, playing with our voices in different and special moments of the song.
The percussionist Julito Ramos, kindly offered to play with his orchestra to make this event that, God willing, will allow us to raise funds to pay for our participation in the Julio Villarroel International Choir Festival, it has been a great gesture on his part, as well as a valuable contribution from the guest singers, it is great to find genuine artists and collaborators like them, unity is strength and here it is clear.
I'll be telling you how the event went, I'm very excited and with immense desire to sing these beautiful tropical songs like Piel Canela, La Piragüa and Prende la vela, among others, songs that I have heard since I was tiny that, in one way or another, accompany the lives of all those who love our Caribbean and that we carry it in our veins. The night promises to be enchanting!
