Hey, qué tal, Hivers? Espero les esté yendo de maravilla. Siguiendo con mi costumbre de traerles tríadas de tal y cual cosa, esta vez quise traerles a tres de mis voces favoritas del mundo de la música. Un campo en el que soy bastante exigente, no porque los cantantes tengan que tener voces increíbles para gustarme, si no que son pocas las voces que de verdad me quitan el aliento. Por eso hoy les traigo tres de esas voces, esperando que también les quiten el aliento a ustedes. ¡Disfrútenlo!

Hey, what's up, Hivers? I hope you're doing great. Continuing with my habit of bringing you triads of this and that, this time I wanted to bring you three of my favorite voices in the world of music. A field in which I am quite demanding, not because singers have to have incredible voices to please me, but because there are few voices that really take my breath away. That's why today I bring you three of those voices, hoping they will take your breath away too. Enjoy!

Intento no repetirme en esta clase de posts, pero omitir a ciertas figuras sería hacer trampa. Jónsi es el vocalista de la banda de post-rock islandesa Sigur Rós. La música de esta banda está caracterizada por tener un sonido sumamente emotivo y hacer música atmosférica con el uso de diversos instrumentos acústicos y electrónicos. Pero uno de los principales atractivos de la banda, es la voz del vocalista, la cual es una de las voces más prodigiosas que se pueden encontrar en el mundo, además de ser una voz muy particular en sí misma. Jónsi canta principalmente en falsete, su voz es mayormente aguda y su registro vocal es altísimo, llegando a notas sumamente altas y dignas de sopranos. Además, su voz es bastante delicada y emotiva, en muchas ocasiones, es su interpretación vocal la que le da más emoción a la música de Sigur Rós o a su música como solista, que aunque no acostumbre a ser igual de emotiva, también tiene varias de las mejores interpretaciones de este cantante.

I try not to repeat myself in this kind of posts, but omitting certain figures would be cheating. Jónsi is the vocalist of the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. The music of this band is characterized by having a highly emotive sound and making atmospheric music with the use of various acoustic and electronic instruments. But one of the main appealings of the band, is the voice of the lead singer, which is one of the most prodigious voices that can be found in the world, besides being a very particular voice in itself. Jónsi sings mainly in falsetto, his voice is mostly high-pitched and his vocal register is very high, reaching extremely high notes worthy of sopranos. In addition, his voice is quite delicate and emotional, in many occasions, it is his vocal interpretation that gives more emotion to the music of Sigur Rós or to his music as a soloist, which although it is not usually equally emotional, also has several of the best interpretations of this singer.

Tahliah Debrett Barnett, mejor conocida por su nombre artístico FKA twigs, es no solo una de las cantantes más prodigiosas de estos años, si no también una de las artistas musicales en general más comprometidas, creativas e interesantes. Es una artista de diversos talentos, es compositora, productora, bailarina y también actriz. Es de la clase de artistas que se toman su tiempo para perfeccionar lo más posible sus obras. Una de las mejores anécdotas, es como estuvo durante más de un año practicando pole dance para el vídeo de su canción "Cellophane". Como cantante es bastante versátil, son más bien pocas las canciones en las que proyecta su voz con fuerza, generalmente sus interpretaciones suelen ser muy sensuales y estar centradas más en la emoción que en la fuerza vocal. Pero hay algunas ocasiones en las que su voz sí se proyecta con fuerza, dando varias de sus interpretaciones más memorables.

En un caso o en el otro, Rosalía es una artista extremadamente talentosa. Oriunda de Barcelona, España, Rosalía comenzó siendo una artista centrada en el flamenco. Desde sus inicios se dio a conocer como una cantante sumamente prodigiosa. En un sentido diametralmente opuesto a los artistas anteriores de esta lista, Rosalía es la clase de cantante que proyecta su voz con fuerza cada vez que puede. Incluso en su primer disco, "Los Ángeles", el cual mayormente no era más que guitarra y su voz, Rosalía dio interpretaciones con una fuerza vocal enorme. Su registro es muy amplio y su dominio de las técnicas vocales también lo es. No solo tiene una voz hermosa, si no que sabe manejarla a la perfección. Y ejemplos de esto, tiene por montontes. La mayoría de estos ejemplos están presentes en casi cualquiera de sus trabajos, excepto, tal vez, por sus singles más recientes, en los que se ha centrado en géneros urbanos en los que no le da tanta cabida a su voz de forma prodigiosa.

In one case or the other, Rosalía is an extremely talented artist. A native of Barcelona, Spain, Rosalía started out as a flamenco-centric artist. From her early days she became known as an extremely prodigious singer. In a sense diametrically opposed to the previous artists on this list, Rosalía is the kind of singer who fully showcases her voice powerfully every chance she gets. Even on her first album, "Los Ángeles", which was mostly nothing more than guitar and her voice, Rosalía gave performances with enormous vocal power. Her register is very wide and her mastery of vocal techniques is as well. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but she knows how to handle it to perfection. And she has plenty of examples of this. Most of these examples are present in almost any of her works, except, perhaps, for her most recent singles, in which she has focused on urban genres in which she doesn't give so much room to her voice in a prodigious way.
