Metallica - "Master Of Puppets" Album ( Review )

}

Just as Metallica's second album underwent some sort of musical improvement over their first album, their third album after about a year and a half shows that the band has made amazing progress in the space between the last two albums. although Metallica have continued the trajectory of their previous albums, the "Master Of Puppets" songs are stronger, with more meaningful lyrics, and rightly a head and neck above the work of other rock bands.

The first track, "Battery", begins slowly with the pleasant resonance of an acoustic guitar, and after a short time, it suddenly accelerates, preparing the listener for the title track of the album. The "Master Of Puppets" suddenly without introdution begins. So that if it is played by a powerful and loud sound system, the ground under the feet and the ceiling above the audience will shake. The song "Master Of Puppets" is like its album, like diamond is one of the hundreds worthy of hundreds among the works of Metallica. The solo and rhythm of the guitar by James Hatfield and Kirk Hammett is very sweet and memorable. the harmony and speed of Ulrich's drumms and bass guitar by Cliff Burton all create a dramatic musical epic.
in the middle of this track, the tempo calms down a bit and gives the audience a chance to breathe to speed up the motifs again.

"Welcome Home" is a relatively quiet piece among other tracks that is hard rock in terms of construction technique. "Orion" is a wordless and very pleasant song that could have been the title track of an independent album alone. "Master Of Puppets" with eight songs, has not wasted even a minute of music. James Hetfield's voice has the same power as ever. the songs were produced by the band and Flemming Rasmussen.

Lars Ulrich says:"while recording Kill Em All" We were four amateur musicians who had no idea. For the album "The Ride Lightning", Mr. Flemming, who was in charge of producing and arranging, understood what we wanted. on the third album, Master Of Puppets, we became more skilled; "Michael Wagener" (mixer) brought us closer to our goal, at a time when we still did not have the necessary confidence. With these words, I do not intend to marginalize that album; "Master Of Puppets was undoubtedly a great album."

Kirk Hammett believes: "Cliff Burton thought about the richness of the motifs. If you remember Orion, the melody guitar at the end was written and played entirely by Cliff Burton."
