I decided to dig up all of my strawberry plants from my raised bed garden today.
It’s just not the right soil for them.
The strawberries have all been sour and also the roly-poly‘s have been eating them.
So I repotted them with better soil for strawberries.
I’m going to decide where to put them in the yard; just going to keep them in pots and find a nice sunny location.
They need 8-10 hours of sunlight I just read.
They are the everlasting type of strawberries, so they should put on some more fruit I believe this summer.
Hopefully they will taste much sweeter!
I would rather have them in a raised bed because they do put out the runners and then I could have more strawberry plants that way. I am hoping to have my small greenhouse built in a month or so where I can protect them from any insects or birds that might try to eat the berries!
My husband has had too many other projects and has not been able to build my greenhouse.
