They made my mother go in for the study, and they called me about 30 minutes later so that I could watch over her while the anesthesia wore off, thank God, she reacted very well, and 40 minutes later, she was getting up and eating something, since she had been on a liquid diet for two days, and she had to eat some solid food.

They have not been easy months or weeks, however, the fact that my mother's studies have yielded these results, for me are an early birthday present, since more than two years ago, the only thing I ask the universe for this day, is the full health of my mother, two years ago we were given the news that she should be operated, and months later we found out about the existence of cancer in her body, and I think it has been one of the worst things we have been able to live, and to be told that there is no evidence of this terrible disease in her body, is a reason to rejoice, and I know that many will understand what I mean.

¡Hola, hola, espero se encuentren todos bien por aquí! Soy yo otra vez, ya no recuerdo cuando fue la última vez que los visite, pero hoy es justo y necesario, la verdad este es un post que debió haberse escrito ayer, pero la electricidad no me acompaño para ello, ciertamente, el tema de las fallas eléctricas por este lado del mundo es un tema recurrente en estos últimos meses, y es una locura extrema, pues yo no sé si es que ya por mi edad, estoy más cerca de los vaporones o bochornos premenopausicos, pero lo cierto es que, el calor últimamente me agota, al punto de dejarme casi sin energía, y es que, el agotamiento es físico y mental, cuando se restablece el servicio eléctrico, parece que me estoy despertando de esas siestas que se tienen luego de una fiebre muy alta, o de ese sueño que da cuando te tomas una dosis de antialérgicos, es algo un tanto incómodo realmente; pero, yo hoy no vine a quejarme del tema eléctrico, aunque, creo que ya lo hice jajaja, vine a contarles lo que fue el día de ayer, acompañando a mi madre a un nuevo estudio médico que le recomendaron para descartar cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con cáncer en su organismo.

Para mediados de febrero correspondía el primer chequeo oncológico de este año, para el que tuvo que realizarse una nueva tomografía contrastada, este estudio se le realizó en una clínica diferente a la que ya había asistido las veces anteriores, con unos aparatos más modernos y que evidenciaron algunos problemitas estomacales, por lo que, aunque por la parte oncológica fue alargado su periodo de chequeo, de seis meses a un año, lo cual nos genera un alivio inmenso, sin embargo, fue referida a chequeo gastrointestinal, en donde le solicitaron una colonoscopia y endoscopia, decidimos hacer ambos estudios en un mismo día, para que de esta manera fuera sedada una sola vez, estos estudios se los realizaron el día de ayer, en el instituto anticanceroso, llegamos tempranito al lugar, ya ella había asistido a su evaluación cardiovascular, y a su precita con el gastroenterólogo que le haría el estudio, verificando que los exámenes pre evaluación, estuvieran en orden.

Ayer salimos de casa a las 6:00 am, para estar en el anticanceroso a las 7:00 am, pues mi madre sería la primera en pasar para hacer los estudios, había un poco de nervios, pues si bien es un procedimiento de rutina, esta requiere un proceso de sedación bajo anestesia general y sabemos que puede haber reacciones con estos procedimientos, además el nerviosismo por no saber que podían observar en dichos estudios, aunque, siempre con la mente positiva, pues como le dije a mi madre, ya tu oncólogo chequeo la tomografía y dijo que todo estaba bien. Hicieron pasar a mi madre para el estudio, y me llamaron unos 30 minutos después para que estuviera al pendiente de ella, mientras pasaba el efecto de la anestesia, gracias a Dios, reacciono muy bien, y 40 minutos más tarde, estaba levantándose y comiendo algo, ya que tenía dos días con dieta líquida, y debía ingerir algo de alimento sólido.

Unos minutos después de comer y vestirse nuevamente, la enfermera nos hizo pasar de nuevo con la gastroenteróloga, que nos entregaría los resultados de la colonoscopia y endoscopia, evidenciando en ellas que el colon está en perfecto estado, pero que la endoscopia arrojo una pequeña inflamación, motivo por el que se tomó una muestra a la que se le hará una biopsia, para determinar el porqué de la inflamación y aplicar el tratamiento pertinente para la misma, por lo que en aproximadamente un mes, hay que volver a consulta. Siendo sincera, no quede del todo contenta con los resultados de los estudios médicos, sin embargo, continuo manteniendo la fe y la mente positiva, al igual que mi madre, sé que todo estará bien. No han sido meses ni semanas fáciles, sin embargo, el hecho de que los estudios de mi madre hayan arrojado estos resultados, para mí son un regalo adelantado de cumpleaños, ya que hace más de dos años, lo único que le pido al universo para este día, es la salud plena de mi madre, hace dos años nos dieron la noticia de que debía ser intervenida, y meses después nos enteramos de la existencia del cáncer en su cuerpo, y creo que han sido de las peores cosas que hemos podido vivir, y que nos digan que no hay evidencia de esa terrible enfermedad en su organismo, es motivo de alegría, y sé que muchos entenderán a lo que me refiero.
