My Actifit Report Card and Update: October 31 2023

Hi all,

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween. It was another rainy day here. Luckily for the trick or treaters, it stopped raining for a few hours just before dark.

Just after 6pm, the first group of little monsters showed up on my doorstep. I was well prepared. I bought a large packet of skittles containing a dozen or more mini packets, another packet containing mini gummy packets, and a large container of mixed sweets/candies.

The night started slow with just a few small groups of children. After 7pm, the visits became more frequent, the groups were larger, and the children were a little older. At one point, I was concerned I'd run out of treats to dish out.

Around 8pm, the number of trick or treaters dropped off. I didn't get any after 8:30pm. This year we had the highest number of trick or treaters ever. Well over a dozen groups visited.

At the same time, hundreds of fireworks were being let off all over the neighbourhood. This is the most ever. It far, exceeded the number let off during the new year. This was quite stressful for Lily Goat. The noise scared her. The fireworks really annoyed Hamlet the Happy Pig. Today, Hamlet seemed fine but Lily is still a little shaken by the experience.

My Content

I posted twice on my @spectrumecons account and about a dozen times on my @captainhive account. I'm still busy posting chapters from my book, Sapien Loop. I have now posted more than half the chapters. I'm really happy with how it's going. On my @spectrumecons account, I have posted the collection post for Part Two of the book. It contains links and brief descriptions for all 20 chapters from Part Two.

Part Two tells the story of those behind the events in Part One. It introduces the story's main antagonist. It explains the motives behind his actions as well as how he managed to pull his plan off. I think it's a pretty good. I strongly recommend reading it, if you are into sci-fi thrillers that have a little truth to them.

My second post on my @spectrumecons account was the contest post for the month. This month, it was the pick-a-door contest. This contest involves participants selecting to open doors. An amount and probability is assigned to each door. The higher the amount, the lower the probability it will be there when the door is opened. Each participant can choose to open up to four doors. Whoever obtains the highest value from opening the doors is the winner.

The turnout for the contest was a little disappointing. I was hoping for at least twelve participants but I only ended up with eight. It has been tough going since the challenge series. I made some tough decision that may have affected the popularity of my contests. In the long run, it is for the better. It might take a while to rebuild the popularity of the contests and challenges

That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I will continue posting more chapters from my book. I should have another ready in a few hours. I hope everyone has a great week.
