My Actifit Report Card and Update: August 5 2023

Hi Everyone,

It's been another wet and cool week. I'll be looking for a dry window so that I can mow the lawn again soon. It's warm and light enough for it to grow pretty well. This is good for Hamlet the Happy Pig who turns her grass area to dirt/mud. The grass is now thicker and she isn't ripping it up because she doesn't like getting wet.

I went to Titanic the musical on Saturday. It was a good musical. It did not follow the same story as the movie. It was focused on the ship, crew, and some of the passengers in general.

I liked the second part of the musical more than the first part. The first part was important as it set the stage with all the things that led up to the sinking. Part one was a little long as it included several passenger mini stories that weren't particularly interesting. Two of the stories were too similar. Once Titanic hit the iceberg, these stories evaporated. These stories felt like they were filling time until the encounter with the iceberg.

Part two was more exciting as they played out the response of the crew and passengers to the collision. The set was quite limited but the cast did a great job of bringing the story to life. The back of the structure of the set lifted up to create the impression the ship was sinking headfirst. The musical ended with a nice tribute to all who died on the ship.

The performers did a great job with the singing many of them had powerful voices. The acting and dialogue was limited as it was a musical but the scenes were mostly good.

Titanic is famous because it sunk on its maiden voyage and so many people died. It became considerably more famous because of the movie, which won so many awards. Not many people are aware of the sister ship, Olympic. It was a year older. It had the same physical dimensions as Titanic. It was smaller due to its layout and was slightly less luxurious. At the time, it would have been more famous than Titanic. There are theories that the Olympic sank instead of the Titanic (I.e. the Olympic was posing as the Titanic). There is a lot to that story.

I published my first results post for the Challenge Series. This was for the Buying and Selling Game. The turnout was great. It might have been the highest this contest has ever received. Next week, the results of Challenges 2 and 3 will be posted. It's likely maximum rewards will be given for both of them. I'm glad the participants are enjoying them.

That wraps up today's Actifit content and Update. Going to the theatre is not typically considered activity but getting their is to a certain extent. I wish everyone a great weekend and enjoyable upcoming week. I need to get Hamlet and Lily their dinner but unfortunately it's raining really hard right now. They'll brave the weather for a bowl of muesli.
