In the second episode of the second season of Westworld, "The Reunion," we observe a Dolores who gazes with genuine astonishment at the city's night landscape. "It looks like the stars have been scattered across the ground," she says to Arnold. Dolores says this vehemently because, literally, she had never seen such a scenario. She is a creation and Arnold is her creator; however, Dolores learns at an impressive speed and is unlike any other android, so Arnold wants to protect her... He knows that, at some point, she will be superior to the human species.

Upon awakening, Dolores forgot the mesmerizing charm of those concrete stars and plunged into the darkness of which Maeve speaks. Can she get out of it? Or will someone else decide to bury her in the shadow she herself has created?
