While having some churritos con chocolate for breakfast today, very Spanish style on Sundays and much later than usual, I was thinking that I should find some time to go out and do more steps than yesterday. But, unfortunately, it has been raining all day and, although it might not be an obstacle, it's not something that really captures my fancy.
So let's just say that it didn't take much for me to be at home relaxing, recharging energies to start another week of endless tasks.
So I'm going to summarize here some of what yesterday was, a little more active than today, even if I didn't even reach a minimum of 10k steps, it was a nice chance to go visit and spend time with some friends who know well how to receive their guests.
I think the nicest thing about the few steps I was able to do, was to enjoy how beautiful the Birds sculpture located south of the city, where I was headed, looked. The sky so clear, with the clouds very defined and the brightness of the sun made me stay a while in front of the monument, enjoying the pleasantness of the moment.
Hoy mientras desayunaba unos churritos con chocolate, muy al estilo español en domingos y mucho más tarde de lo habitual, pensaba que debía encontrar algo de tiempo para salir y hacer más pasos que ayer. Pero, desafortunadamente, ha estado lloviendo durante todo el día y, aunque podría no ser un impedimento, no es algo que me atraiga mucho la verdad.
Así que digamos que no me costó mucho estar en casa de relax, recargando energías para comenzar una semana más de tareas interminables.
Por lo que voy a resumir aquí algo de lo que fue el día de ayer, un poco más activo que hoy, aunque no haya llegado siquiera a un mínimo de 10k pasos, fue una oportunidad agradable para ir de visita y compartir con unos amigos que saben bien cómo recibir a sus invitados.
Creo que lo más bonito de los pocos pasos que pude hacer, fue disfrutar de lo hermosa que se veía la escultura Birds situada al sur de la ciudad, a donde me dirigía. El cielo tan despejado, con las nubes muy definidas y el brillo del sol hicieron que me quedara un rato frente al monumento, disfrutando de lo agradable del momento.
An afternoon of tapas, that was the invitation I received. It already seemed interesting, but it turned out to be more entertaining than I thought it would be. A cultural mix that left no room to get stuck to just one type of food.
We went from sophisticated flavors of French vol-au-vents, stuffed with salmon, cod and anchovies; to Spanish pinchitos of chistorra, bell pepper and quail egg, others of surimi with pineapple, and a scrambled of gulas that had nothing to envy to the bars where we usually go for tapas; we also finished with Venezuelan mini arepitas with shredded chicken, guacamole and Latin white cheese that reminded me the flavors of home.
In the end we had more food than we expected and ended up saving some for later dinner, as the meeting went on for quite a while. We were having a great time, between good food, pending chats and curious documentary videos that we commented between each tapa.
Una tarde de tapas, esa fue la invitación que recibí. Ya me sonaba interesante, pero resultó más entretenida de lo que pensaba. Un mix cultural que no dejaba espacio para acostumbrarte a un solo tipo de comida.
Pasamos de sofisticados sabores de unos volován franceses, rellenos de salmón, bacalao y anchoas; a unos pinchitos españoles de chistorra, pimiento y huevo de codorniz, otros de surimi con piña, y un revuelto de gulas que no le envidiaban nada a las barras de los bares a donde solemos ir a tapear; además terminamos con unas mini arepitas venezolanas con pollo mechado, guacamole y queso blanco latino que me hicieron recordar los sabores de casa.
Al final teníamos más comida de lo que esperábamos y terminamos guardando un poco para cenar más tarde, pues el encuentro se prolongó bastante. Lo estábamos pasando muy bien, entre buena comida, charlas pendientes y vídeos documentales curiosos que comentábamos entre tapa y tapa.

Much of what we did during the afternoon was trying to get to play full board games. I personally am very bad with these, I don't say no to a game because if it's the plan, I'm up for it, but since it's not a very common leisure activity for me, I'm a little slow at first.
I didn't take a picture of everything we played, but I really liked that in the Party there were interesting questions that made you think a little, besides others that I found very funny, more contemporary or relating to gastronomy, as in the card of the photo where one of the options to guess was one of the best restaurants in Spain, located in Catalonia.
There was a lot of laughter, more than expected because I remember feeling for a moment, a pain in my jaw from laughing so much, it seems that I hadn't done it that way for a long time. In conclusion, a great day worth repeating.
Mucho de lo que hicimos durante la tarde fue intentar conseguir jugar partidas completas fe algunos juegos de mesa. Yo personalmente son muy mala con estos, no suelo decir que no a una partida porque si es el plan, me animo, pero como no es una actividad de esparcimiento muy común para mi, suelo ir un poco lenta al principio.
No hice foto a todo lo que jugamos, pero me gustó mucho que en el Party había preguntas interesantes que te hacían pensar un poco, además de otras que me parecían muy divertidas, más de actualidad o refiriéndose a gastronomía, como en la carta de la foto en donde una de las opciones a adivina era uno de los mejores restaurantes de España, ubicado en Cataluña.
Hubo muchas risas, más de las esperadas porque recuerdo haber sentido durante un momento, un dolor en la mandíbula de tanto reír, parece que llevaba mucho sin hacerlo de esa manera. En conclusión, un día para repetir.
