Blessed with a Punching Bag. Right Timing?

What a surprise!

Just when I came home from work, my mom told me that our neighbour who has rented for a year, has finally found a job close to her home with a much better pay!

The bitter sweet of leaving her favourite environment but also was good because she can be closer to her elderly parents have encouraged her not to take too much things back.

And this unopened punching back was one of them.

Knowing that sometimes I workout before heading to bed (due to lack of time) she decided to gift it to me and my family for the hospitality she received especially from my elderly who was mostly at home.

I always wondered how to keep this air punching bag standing and not flying around...

Turned out that we have to add in enough water to keep it anchored, before we inflate it.

Good thing it came with an aided pump so at the moment, one dilemma is solved.

Because this requires water instead of sand is because it is cleaner and the % of tearing while moving around is a lot lesser.

So the easiest way to add in water without a hose is to pour through a funnel, which I so happened to have at home.

It does take teamwork as my dad tried holding the funnel opening while I poured water inside. And once it is filled (which isn't a huge one, probably close to 2.5L) we just need to close it tightly.

then the tedious work begins

Good thing that my feet could press on the pump, though it occasionally the pumping hose could detach due to reverse flow pressure.

However, perseverance pays! After several long minutes, there's actually progress, and slowly but surely we got the inflated punch back up and ready.

Time for a test run

Because it is fairly light, so the swing back can be pretty quick, but it definitely is not suitable for adult kicking

Treating it as a "speed bag" seems to be the best way and it is just perfect for me and my mom to exercise our flabby arms. 🤣

But will we be able to keep this consistent, that's another question.

In the mean time, if my elderly need to let out some steam they can practice back slap at it too.

Just make sure no picture is there because we do not want to harbour bitterness on a targeted individual.

How about you?

Do you have other ways to tackle flabby arms? 😬
