The buildings that are in reasonable shape are locked up and the area is gated and closed off at night now. There were a lot of issues with vandalism and a caretaker has taken up residence in the parking lot. This has fixed a lot of the issues.
The area is a long walk from a small town and there is no public transportation. I think most homeless people seem to like to congregate in a bit larger town with better potential of getting food, and assistance. I wish the government was up to the task of providing employment and insurance for everyone that needs it but that seems like a utopian pipe dream at this point.
A lot of changes would need to be made but if done right I do think it would make a good low-income housing area.
Prayer plants have such small flowers and don't flower very often. Perhaps they are overlooked.
