Today was a beautiful end-of-summer day. I did a TON of outdoor cleanup and gardening, as we have had a lot of storms lately. And then I biked out to a quaint nearby town where there was a festival going on.
Along the way I took some pictures of the trail. I was trying to catch that beautiful light that filters through the trees and casts such striking shadows.
Eventually I reached the lake. As usual, I was mesmerized by the boats!
I also tried to take some art photos of a fountain. Hmm… not so artsy?
I wish I had some pictures of the festival itself, but it was a crush of people, and I’m just not that comfortable in crowds these days. (This pandemic will one day end, right?)
But here are my thoughts of the day for #thoughtfuldailypost, hosted by @wesphilbin. I was able to walk by the lake, enjoy the boats and watch cute kids and families walking around by the water, and I got to listen to the band which was fantastic. It was a lovely experience, and I felt quite thankful.
I grabbed a few pictures of the late-day sun on the lake, just before my ride back home.
Okay one final picture. On the way home I saw a small flock of wild turkeys strutting through a yard. We have a lot of them around here! I managed to get a picture, though they were a bit far away.
Thank you very much for visiting!
