Folks,
The tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon is an experience of memory that most of us have had at some point
It's pretty universal to our species
Generally, it manifests as the inability to retrieve the name of something from memory, while being fully aware of the conceptual particulars that said name is applied to
Often you can say the letter of the alphabet the missing word starts with
You might even know how many syllables the word contains
And yet, it stays just slightly out of reach
Just outside the frame of conscious experience
...
You're chopping vegetables for dinner a few hours later, when the word suddenly crash-lands inside your cranium, as if from afar
...
This happened to me recentIy, while I searched online for one of these:
Of course, it was a little difficult to find one while not knowing the term to search for
Eventually it came to me
Turnbuckle

So this is all well and good, but why do you need one of these?
I'm so glad I asked me this on your behalf
...
The reason for turnbuckle is so I can hang a scramble net β a piece of play equipment β as a small act of kindness for a few friends
I'll explain in my next post!
Maybe
