Swimming to Antarctica: Tales of a Long-Distance Swimmer

An incredible journey of Lynne Cox, a long-distance swimmer pushing the boundaries of possible into a whole new universe.

With 355 pages and a seemingly boring activity - sea swimming - this book is a marvel of fast-paced writing and action where there should be none.

Lynne tells us about her life and dreams and resilience and stubbornness and unbelievable ability to swim in impossible circumstances.

From her beginnings in the ocean swimming in California, through many adventures around the world to the final mile in Antarctica. Freezing water, storms, strong tide, big waves, ice, sharks, no wetsuit, ... Just a human body and determination.

Lynne is incredible!

If you seen a motivation for your life goals read this book!

Ps: I bought this book in 2006 and read it just now. Why I didn't read it before it's beyond me. I will certainly reread it.

I finished reading this book tonight and the review was firs published at Goodreads.

Five stars!
