The calm after the storm……
We had a serious wind storm last night causing our power to go out for about 15 hours again. We woke up to the power having been restored (around 6 AM). We used this opportunity to try out the new generator @silvertop had just completed last week. It did a marvelous job. We cooked pizza in the toaster oven, ran the water heater and then ran the well plus all the lights in the house. See his post for more stats details.
We went for a morning hike for a change and that first photo was heading up close to the lumber mill area on the trail. It was nice to see some break through sunshine!
Even the chickens were out enjoying the fact that it wasn’t raining. He sure is a handsome rooster!
I needed to go shopping so after filling the propane tank to see how much we used, we headed to Walmart. Once that was done, Lynden was next on the list, to Safeway specifically. It looks like Valentines Day threw up in there!
There were flowers everywhere, so I took advantage of some closeups.
After Safeway, it was to Tractor Supply for another 30 lb. propane tank. This way we have two bigger tanks and one smaller available for the generator should the need arise. It seems to always arise here during the fall, winter and spring months.
We were done and headed for home. I’m looking forward to dinner and a bit of tv and then going to bed. Tomorrow will come early as we have another round of running sound at church.
