All roads lead to ……….. more on that moment!
It was a beautiful fall day for once! We met Jan early at the road and headed up for a hike to Westergreen’s. Along the way, we found a couple of freshly made apple pie bear scat 🐻piles! Yum! We have decided that we’re going to go up to the out cropping that we turned around on the last time we went this route. It’s a pretty steep trail that runs along the edge of the ridge of the mountain. Here’s a couple of views from up there.
We could have gone further up, but the trail dramatically steepened and the trail width was even narrower. Going up might not have been such the issue. It would be going down. If you lost your footing, you’d more than likely go over the edge! 🙀🙀🙀
We came back down and went to another, safer lookout. If you look closely, you can see the layer of smoke below, from the forest fires 🔥
All roads lead to………………happy @actifit-lamb hikers!! @actifit-lamb and some of her family came along for the hike. We settled under an old, old pine tree for a rest. @actifit-lamb kept watch for cougars while they all rested.
No cougars, and once everyone was rested, we started the trek home.
I found this little guy looking like his surroundings in color.
The day is done and I am pleasantly tired. 🥱 Tomorrow brings ladies Bible study 📖 I’m looking forward to it!😇
