Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by! Although it’s not the best picture, this was the full moon influenced by the smoke. It was much more orange than the pic shows but it was really very pretty.
The Bolt Creek Fire, as it’s now known, is on the western slope of the Cascade Mountains. It is not the norm for an out of control wildfire on this side. It is threatening towns and homes although the fire 🔥 fighters are trying to direct it towards less populated areas. We were told this morning that it was much bigger than it is-although 7900 acres is still amazing! It went from a small fire 🔥 to that in just 2 days!!🙀🙀🙀 See @silvertop’s post for pictures and more information.
Church ⛪️ was first on the agenda. It seemed like we had already attended because of yesterday, lol 😆 It was a good to gather in worship.
The smoke 💨 today was much worse! Our air index was at 197 which is unhealthy! This afternoon, @silvertop and myself set out for a mini hike wearing N95 masks. It is so NOT comfortable wearing one hiking 🥾 up hills that requires harder breathing! Not to mention-they’re hot 🥵 it wasn’t the best hike 🥾and I could not wait to get home 🏡 and rip that mask 😷 OFF!!!
Tomorrow is supposed to be the beginning of a cooler time period but unless they miraculously put out the fire 🔥or some major winds blow out the smoke 💨 we will still probably have smoke 💨 issues!🙄
Last night, just as we were headed to bed, 🛌 I found that Cot had already beat us to it. This first picture looks like ‘light’s on; nobody’s home’. Sleepy kitty 🐈⬛
Then this as he became more awake 😻
