Most of us probably have a a place where stuff just magically piles up! It’s the place where we tend to drop things like the mail, or something we need to deal with and put it the until we get around to it (but often never do). Before you know it, it’s becomes so piled up that it seems like an insurmountable mountain!😳 Today was the day to deal with my mountain. I found some things I didn’t know I had and found a lot to dispose of! I am going to make an effort to not let this mountain resurrect itself 👍
It was a cloudy but rainless day today. As we met up with Jan to head out for a hike, the air was filled with the smell of pungent wood smoke. I think EVERYBODY was burning something!
We headed on up and as we got close to the two little trees we fixed up for Christmas, we decided today was the day to un-decorate them. We would do this on the return trip back down.
I found this fallen tree loaded with lots of fungi. This time of year, especially when it’s been warmer and rainier than it should be, the mosses and the fungi enjoy this wintertime growing season.
@actifit-lamb and company had a special guest come hike with them today. Can you pick him out in the photo?
It’s a moose! Not just any moose-this is Wilbur moose! Whereas he’s not a member of @actifit-lamb’s family, he is visiting from way up north, Alaska way.
Wilbur tells us that this place kind of reminds him of the area he’s from but without the snow. He’s liking the milder temperatures for sure.
There’s not too much exciting stuff going on right now. I’m thinking we need something good to come along. I guess time will tell!
