Mel enjoying some shade while we picked berries this morning. It was a hot one!
Goldenrod and daisies and others along the riverbank holding back the knotweed!
Can anyone help me ID this tree? In my heart I am hoping it's a chestnut variety but I have a sneaking suspicion it's a humble beech. The nut inside is still developing when I open it so I'm not certain! Seems the nut and leaf structure of chestnut and beech can be similar from what I've found using plantnet!
