A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
The fame of city of the sun is never denied for Naples. Even today the day was characterized by good weather and high temperatures. The approach of a cold disturbance from the north has recalled the African anticyclone in the center of the Mediterranean.
After a morning spent studying the subjects of the competition, after lunch, I immediately dressed and headed towards Naples. Getting off at the subway in Piazza Amedeo I went up Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a street full of luxury homes.
At the first bend I found myself in front of this castle-shaped structure but that is a palace built in neo-medieval style and residence of the famous banker Aselmeyer after he had bought them from his creator and creator the architect Lamont Young. Now the castle is a condominium of luxury homes.
The district of Vomero is one of the most recent of the city of Naples and was built between the late 1800s and early 1900s following the population explosion of the city that had to colonize a hill where it had never been easy to build but with new technologies has been rapidly urbanized.
Halfway there I find myself in front of a breathtaking view of the city. The high pressure has restored the smog on the city and prevents us from seeing the details of the buildings in the background but you can see the majestic silhouette of the basilica of Santa Chiara.
In this other photo you can see a skyscraper too that does not make any sense with the architecture of the city. Do you agree with me that it should be put down?
Here there is a staircase that from the hill of Vomero takes us directly to the heart of the old city and I walk to get to the metro stop of Montesanto from where I return home.
And here I am celebrating my iamalivechallenge 222 in the year 2022 and even today is made are alive and another tour of the magnificent city of Naples has been brought to an end.
