Woke up at dawn this morning, I went down to get croissants and coffee at the bar and I met Larry greeting Actifit’s friends.
Sveglia all'alba stamattina, sono sceso per andare a prendere i cornetti ed il caffè al bar ed ho incontrato Larry che salutava gli amici di Actifit.
There was a few clouds at the first light of day that were wiped out by the sun as soon as it got light.
C'era qualche nuvola alle prime luci della giornata che sono state spazzate via dal sole non appena ha fatto giorno.
Today I had lunch very early, I put on my slippers and I went to Naples. Getting off at the spectacular metro station of the University I walked through the narrow and dark streets of Naples in the direction of Spaccanapoli. After a little walk I found the bell tower of the basilica of Santa Chiara before my eyes.
Oggi ho pranzato molto in anticipo, ho messo le scarpette e mi sono avviato verso Napoli. Sceso alla spettacolare stazione della metro dell'Università mi sono incamminato per i vicoli stretti e scuri di Napoli in direzione Spaccanapoli. Dopo un po' di cammino mi sono trovato il campanile della basilica di Santa Chiara davanti agli occhi.
So I stopped by the magnificent and majestic Neapolitan Gothic church in Angevin. It was built in the fourteenth century and in its vicinity was built a cloistered building that became the "church of the Poor Clares".
E allora ho fatto tappa nella magnifica e maestosa chiesa partenopea gotico angioina. Fu edificata nel quattordicesimo secolo e nelle sue vicinanze venne edificato un edificio di clausura che divenne la "chiesa delle Clarisse".
The church overlooks Spaccanapoli, via del centro storico full of places of worship to visit and pizzerias. An area "must" to see in the city.
La chiesa affaccia sulla Spaccanapoli, via del centro storico ricca di luoghi di culto da visitare e pizzerie. Una zona "must" da vedere in città.
The street emerges into Piazza del Gesù with the magnificent baroque spire in the middle of the square.
La vie sbuca nella piazza del Gesù con la magnifica guglia barocca al centro della piazza.
I stopped to take some pictures and then I walked down another alley towards Spanish neighborhoods.
Mi sono fermato per scattare qualche foto e poi mi sono incamminato per un altro vicolo in direzione quartieri spagnoli.
When I got to Via Toledo I went down towards Piazza Plebiscito but I stopped at the Metro station to return home. I was busy this afternoon and could not stay any longer.
Arrivato a via Toledo sono sceso verso piazza Plebiscito ma mi sono fermato alla stazione della Metro per ritornare a casa. Avevo impegni nel pomeriggio e non mi sono potuto trattenere ulteriormente.
Today I have not walked very much for my #iamalivechallenge 193 but still I am #alive even today I have been in connection with the historical consciousness of one of the few cities that shone during the darkest period of European history or the Middle Ages.
Oggi non ho camminato moltissimo per la mia iamalivechallenge 193 ma comunque sono alive anche oggi sono stato in connessione con la coscienza storica di una delle poche città che ha brillato durante il periodo più buio della storia europea ovvero il medioevo.
