Hey dear actifitters and readers,
I'm waiting for my Thai curry ro be cooked and served in a restaurant in Augsburg.
I'm here on a business trip for a day and have an appointment tomorrow morning.
I worked some hours in the morning at home office and started with the trip to Augsburg around noon.
The roads were empty and it took me less than four hours on the road. I checked in and got a room in the fifth floor with a view over town.
I left the hotel for a city walk only a few minutes after arriving. It's my first time here and my first impressions are very positive.
Augsburg is on the UNESCO world heritage list and many impressive buildings can be found all over the city.
The town hall is huge and the front doors are very impressive.
The have many narrow streets and small water channels in town.
On of the UNESCO world heritage sites is the so called Fuggerei.
It's one of the oldest social settlements in the world.
It was donated by Jacob Fugger in 1521 to poor inhabitants of the city. Today it's still a social settlement for 140 people living here for a very very tiny annual rent.
It was late and they are charging a entry fee of 8 Euros. I found it to expensive and went to the resataurant.
