Pepe Could Be Off To French Big Spenders Nice

Arsenal outcast Nicolas Pepe is verging leaving the club in the next week, sadly it won't be a permanent one but a loan move to the French side of Nice. Nice has been busy in this transfer window and already captured former Gunners midfielder Aaron Ramsey, Pepe has become the latest man with links to the Emirates who Lucien Favre wants to sign.

Pepe was linked with a move to PSG and Bayern earlier in the transfer window but both teams opted for other options instead leaving Pepe stranded at Arsenal.

The 27-year-old has lost his place on the right of the forward line to Bukayo Saka and he clearly doesn't have what it takes to give Saka a run for the position.

So admitting he is not good enough Pepe is now taking steps to leave the club, as his agent was at Nice's stadium over the weekend. The Ivory Coast international remains Arsenal's club-record signing after the Gunners paid Lille an eye-watering £72million to secure his signature in 2019 and a blemish on Arsenals transfer policies.

Considering that they choice was between him and Zaha at the time, for around the same price, Arsenal clearly made the wrong choice. Pepe can move back to France where they can give him more time on the pitch and where his mediocre dribbling skills seem to work.
