Stretching the Legs for Lady Fingers : October 3 2022

Was a slow start - got to hate the week the clocks change. Did cook a proper breakfast to get the day going. My wife wanted to ride her new ebike to find where I do my bush walks

Seven Mile Beach for a coffee - dropped my wife back at home and went for a loop ride to get some kms into the legs

Views from the Back Forest Road onto the Southern Highlands

Plenty of flood water in all the low lying areas

Loved this seat for riders and walkers

Tracked across to Harley Hill - site of an old cemetery - somewhat overgrown

A few flowers here but no orchids

Never seen this pea flower before

Lots of these little daisy type flowers

And a few hypericum

Dropped down to Seven Mile Beach NP and walked the part of the track I did not walk the day before

First up was a white lady fingers orchid - lots of pink the day before but this was the first white one - caladenia catenata

Structure looks the same - in pink

Pink edging on the pointed lobes - looks a little different

Pointed lobes and different shape labellum - thinking caladenia hilmanii

Explore the similarities

Front on

Longest ride in a long while and got the orchid fix.

Strimmed the lawn when I got back. 20 minutes is my type of lawn

Had dinner out with friends. I organised Peking Duck entrees - out of a box. Was good to have a night off cooking.

Donate for Kids Cancer as I prepare for a big ride next week for the Kids. https://mymark.mx/KidsCancerRide
