Slow start on a lovely blue sky Nelson Bay day. Cooked scrambled eggs for breakfast. Our host was happy that I could make my own way. We chatted for ages and just soaked in the estuary views.
We did go for a walk with the iconic view across the bay
Walked past a lovely garden- the yellow hibiscus caught my eye and I had not seen them before
A poor man's orchid growing on the verge
Shopped for presents at a knife shop closing down and had a snack for lunch- then headed home
Did stop on the drive back to Cessnock to look for orchids. Not seen a banksia this large

Quite often there are orchids to be found under powerlines in a national park - not today.
Was a fab day away visiting friends
Dinner: Bbq under the stars on a clear night. Nights are getting cool.
