Of Lakes, Lanes, and Long Drives: A 10K Step Narrative

There’s something about the road that calls to you, isn’t there? It’s like that friend who’s always up for an adventure, no matter the hour. My day began with the sun peeking shyly through the clouds, reflecting off the serene waters of the lake at the vacation park. Each step around its embrace felt like a meditative dance with nature, where even the whispering trees seemed to echo my thoughts.

Fast forward through an almost 300km drive—a journey speckled with stretches of emerald pastures and skies so wide you’d think they were drawn just for you. This wasn’t just a drive; it was a pilgrimage of the mind, where each mile was a mantra and every highway, a hall of reflection.

As the sun began its descent, I found myself back home, lacing up for round two. The canal, a mirror to the sky’s painted hues, was a quiet companion as I retraced my steps. The day’s bookend was an alley lined with trees, their branches stretching out like the many paths we choose in life.

And there it was—10,000 steps of journeying, without a destination, a testament to the simple truth that sometimes, the best travels are the ones where you just go.

So here’s to the wandering hearts and the soles that carry them. May your paths be many, and your steps, always forward. #WanderingSoul #10KStepsChallenge #LifeOnTheMove
