These little things are the ones that make me think, "we must go on", during these long trips and even more when they are by bicycle crossing such hostile lands as in southern Patagonia, one can think at times, "what am I doing here", why not stay at home? in comfort, where everything is as I know it is, where it ends where I decide, the suffering in these trips can be great and may be what covers most of the time, a hard slope, an impossible road, a day of heavy rain on the bike, a sunrise with the tent flooded, the wind that blows hard on your forehead without letting you move forward, there are many and countless things that can make you think about abandoning this adventure, but it is the small ones, the details, those unique and unrepeatable moments that give you the strength to continue this long journey, that make you realize that everything is worth it, that a trip like this is life itself. Full of challenges, of bitter and hard moments and of hope, beauty and glory. That is what I expect from these trips, an unrepeatable moment, a contact with nature, a shared smile, a moment of silence observing the infinite, a sunset of intense colors. This is the life I choose to live.

Estas pequeñas cosas son las que me hacen pensar, “debemos seguir adelante”, durante estos viajes largos y aun mas cuando son en bicicleta recorriendo tierras tan hostiles como en la Patagonia sur, uno puede pensar por momentos, “que hago acá?” porque no me quede en mi casa?, en la comodidad, donde todo es como yo se que es, donde termina donde yo lo decido, el sufrimiento en estos viajes puede ser grande y puede que sea lo que abarca la mayor parte del tiempo, una cuesta dura, una carretera imposible, un día de lluvia intensa sobre la bicicleta, un amanecer con la carpa inundada, el viento que sopla fuerte en tu frente sin dejarte avanzar, son muchas e innumerables las cosas que te pueden hacer pensar en abandonar esa aventura, pero son las pequeñas, los detalles, esos momentos únicos e irrepetibles los que te dan las fuerzas para continuar ese largo viaje, las que te hacen dar cuenta que todo vale la pena, que un viaje así es la vida misma. llena de desafíos, de momentos amargos, duros y de esperanza, belleza y gloria. Eso es lo que espero de estos viajes, un momento irrepetible, un contacto con la naturaleza, una sonrisa compartida, un momento de silencio observando al infinito, un atardecer de colores intensos. Así es la vida que elijo vivir.
