I dreamt of a melancholic street where ancient temples and palaces alternate, where everything is muffled and still. The light coming from the background is even more unreal than the icy urban landscape.

I wanted to paint a surreal picture where everything seems like a dream, still in its fixity, cold, without physics, just rarefied atmospheres like a mysterious fog enveloping everything.

I dreamt of a few figures who manifest themselves lightly with their presences, they are the passers-by who occupy the temporal space of the city.

La luce surreale del tempo - acquarelli su carta

Ho sognato una strada malinconica dove si alternano antichi templi e palazzi, dove tutto è ovattato e fermo.
La luce che proviene dal fondo è ancora più irreale del gelido paesaggio urbano. Ho voluto dipingere un quadro surreale dove tutto sembra un sogno, fermo nella sua fissità, freddo, senza fisica, solo atmosfere rarefatte come una nebbia misteriosa che avvolge tutto. Ho sognato poche figure che si manifestano leggere con le loro presenze, sono i passanti che occupano lo spazio temporale della città.
