Sunshine on the countryside - watercolours on paper

Hello everyone Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing a country landscape where the sun is the protagonist. I have depicted a curving country lane and in the background a patch of trees as in impressionist painting.

I started with a pencil sketch of the landscape and painted the large and small patches of trees. Then I gave the first coat of yellow ochre and sienna colours for the base.

Then with thin brushes I drew the grass patches on the road and fields and fixed the warmer colours such as red ochre and orange on the countryside,

Finally, I coloured some clouds in the sky and the tufts of grass in the foreground with grey.

Sole sulla campagna - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi passo a condividere un paesaggio di campagna dove il sole è il protagonista. Ho raffigurato una stradina sterrata di campagna che curva e sullo sfondo una macchia di alberi come nella pittura impressionista. Ho cominciato con uno schizzo a matita del peasaggio ed ho dipinto le macchie grandi e piccole di alberi. Poi ho dato la prima stesura di colori giallo ocra e terra di Siena per la base. Poi con i pennelli sottili ho disegnato le macchie di erba sulla stradina e sui campi ed ho fissato i colori più caldi come l'ocra rossa e l'arancione sulla campagna, Infine ho colorato con il grigio qualche nuvola nel cielo e i ciuffi di erba in primo piano.
