One of the things privex.io seems to be doing is sharing the data volume (probably using CEPH or something similar) between their Hive nodes:

HDD/SSD disk space is severely discounted for these packages, due to technological disk usage reduction techniques based on the fact every Hive server has the exact same copy of the blockchain.

That's good for cost, and adding compute capacity, but it does mean a lot of nodes running there could all be susceptible to failure if the CEPH cluster goes down.

Real decentralization is hard.
