Thank (Gen) G It's Friday

After so many weeks of Nineties posts it's time to be very clear about the Gens that missed the nineties...especially that one Gen. No, not the millennials although those 'Nepo Babies' try to steal the real 90s vibe.

The ones that really lived the Nineties were of course Gen X, but for this post, we do a co-up calling ourselves X Millenials.

And we will battle that Generation that loves to hate us.

That generation that calls me Boomer while I am truly not close to the Baby Boom Gen, but hey we all know that knowledge fades with every Gen.

Who is Who

Gen X: 1965-1980 44-59 years old

Millennials: 1981-1996 28-43 years old

Gen Z: 1997-2012 12-27 years old

I must admit we have a Gen Gap, because yes even though they are a bunch of softies I can connect to the millennials but I feel so disconnected from Gen Z.

That Is A Lie

My son is Gen Z, My Ex is Gen Z and I get them completely but that is because they are revolting against the Modern Liberals which is probably the most remarkable Gen Z Niche.

Let me explain; Modern Liberals are not liberal, they do not consider equality for all:
Modern liberals are left-leaning individuals, often referred to as "progressive." They tend to emphasize the following beliefs and values:

  1. Social Justice and Equality: They advocate for policies aimed at reducing social, economic, and racial inequalities. This includes support for civil rights, LGBTQ+ rights, gender equality, and affirmative action.

  2. Government Intervention: Modern liberals are generally more supportive of a strong government role in ensuring social welfare, healthcare, and education, believing that government intervention can help address systemic inequalities and improve societal well-being.

  3. Environmental Protection: Climate change and environmental sustainability are major concerns. Left-leaning liberals support renewable energy, environmental regulations, and policies aimed at combating global warming.

  4. Economic Equality: They favor progressive taxation, universal healthcare, and strong social safety nets. Many support policies like raising the minimum wage, addressing wealth inequality, and regulating corporations more strictly.

I guess I am a New Radical as I believe in Karma - You Get What You Give!

  1. Individual Rights and Civil Liberties: They prioritize the protection of individual rights, including freedom of speech, reproductive rights, and the rights of marginalized communities. There's a focus on inclusivity and anti-discrimination.

  2. Multiculturalism and Diversity: Modern liberals embrace cultural diversity and support immigration reform that allows for more inclusivity. They advocate for a society that welcomes different cultures and backgrounds.

Overall, modern liberals tend to focus on the idea that collective action and government intervention can create a fairer and more just society, balancing individual freedoms with social responsibilities.

Oh Yes Lefty Liberals I feel your pain.....NOT.

Nineties Liberals

Now I have used my last two posts to ask society to give me back Nineties Liberalism.

Not saying we are the good liberals, I am saying that the word liberal is highjacked as they know it sounds better than lefties.

Liberalism is about equality for all. not just some marginalized groups. ItΒ΄s about a government that does not interfere but ensures a minimal safety net for all. Regardless of your gender, ethnicity, or if you identify as a duck faced saposexual binarie genderless talking monkey.

Question?

Why is it? This is what woke looks like according to AI?

image.png

Why is it that these are the people on the LHBTQ+-?$ barricades. Where is the diversity, where is global, or even regional equilibrium? Or are they all stand ins, chameleons for those who are not represented in the woke culture.

Okay well that was just to establish that not all of Gen Z is woke, and not all wokies hate 90s kids. I even think that Gen Z is less woke then the later millinials but I prefer to label things this blog to keep it easy.

So why Do The Snowflakes Hate Us?

Well part of it is because they think everyone that has a grey hair should be replied to with:

untitled.gif

While Boomers are at least 60 (1946-1964) so they never even came close to being a Nineties Kid. But they hate Boomers.

So Boomie Blew Up Their Future? What about all the people that come after you Snowflake? Because the planet is going through a rough time but when Gen Z grew up they told us exactly the same plus we had the Cold War and Nucluer threat.

Grow some balls, people will survive but the truth is that 80% of them are part of the overpopulation and that is not to blame on the Boomers.

Accept that for a healthy planet we need to go back to 1 Billion people.

Gen X

You donΒ΄t hear a lot about Gen X. We are the Happy Generation, the last generation that could play unsupervised, that did not wear a helmet, or seat belts on the back seat.

A generation growing up when the Cold War cooled down, the nuclear threat diminished and Iron Curtain opened up to the West.

We are the happy few that grew up without helicopter pussy parents, without internet, social media and vegans.

So letΒ΄s see what the Snowflakes know about the Happy Gen Z

Max Who?

Max Verstappen?

No Max Headroom!

And to give you a bit of an impression what Gen Z will never get and what Gen X grew up on... a little more Max. Yes mainly 80s but just to give you an impression.

The Generation War

Why this full flamed hatred?untitled.gif

Gen Z as seen has a hard time dealing with life as is and you need to blame someone so they blame Nostalgia!

Those who grew up in the 90s often celebrate and romanticize their childhood and adolescence, with a strong sense of nostalgia for things like 90s music, TV shows, fashion, and pop culture.

Gen Z hates us for idolizing this period as to them the constant nostalgia is irrelevant. Simply because they know they want to FOMO into something that will never come back.

They grew up in the era of smartphones, social media, and a faster, more digital culture, whereas we all love to reminiscence and reflect on an "analog" world filled with VHS tapes, unsupurvised outdoor adventures, and only bein bullied in real life.

Possibly due to this online culture Gen Zers are part of they prioritize social justice, inclusivity, and environmental issues, as those have the loudest online screamers.

This leads them to criticize aspects of 90s culture that they view as problematic e.g., outdated gender roles, lack of diversity, or environmental negligence. Things 90s kids have accepted as part of life.

Gen Z grew up fully immersed in the digital world, while 90s kids experienced the shift from analog to digital and are able to distinguish and therefore get the best of both workds. This leads to clashes in how each generation engages with technology.

90s Kids are often associated with platforms like Facebook and Instagram, while Gen Z prefers TikTok and newer trends. This can create a cultural disconnect or sense of rivalry online. But in essence its all the same poo just adapting to the generational attention span.

But I mentioned it before and I mention it again, the biggest problem for Gen Z is the"Ok, Boomer" Mentality applied to anyone that is older then 20.

_7605f507-9ce6-428d-8d0d-259a7712836b.jpeg

While "Ok, Boomer" was initially a millinial retort to Baby Boomers, nowadays Gen Z highjacked the attitude to out their frustrations with older generations even the Millennials.

Gen Z has the perception that 90s kids hold onto the past too tightly and don’t understand what they consider the rapidly changing world that Gen Z has to navigate because they Need to watch 100 TikToks and watch 10 influencers a day to keep up.

Basically Gen Z is there own worst enemy.

Where 90s kids already gave up on being on top of things because being on top of the trend is nothing more than an illusion created by those that make money of the trend.

Bikini Bottom Line

The generational differences between 90s kids and younger generations like Gen Z are largely shaped by Gen Z idea of distinct cultural experiences, technological environments, and nostalgic attachments.

The hatered is caused by the same thing we saw between hippies and the rock and roll generation, dico and punks, we all think we are so different growing up till one day we look in the mirror and hear ourself speak and go damn...

I sound like my Mom, Dad, Non-Binary Parent.

_c3eaff1c-d481-4c30-b3e5-d625f1fa697c.jpeg

At that point it s too late to buy yourself a new life.

But I think the real frustration that Gen Z has with our 90s is that they will never be able to live and love in the 90s and listening to this dance monkey Gen Z idolizes the 90s more than we do.

Thank goodness you made it till the end Pees, Love and I am out of here!

WTF do I do on #NinetiesFriday?

Well, don't do what I do because I just stole the below as it is good enough for copy/pasta!

But some ideas are music, movies, television, sports, or really anything Nineties related.

I assume movie, TV, or music topic reviews or talk will be most common, but you could also talk about a sports memory or something else.

Think the Pop Culture of the times, but it would be great to hear about little known and interesting bands or entertainment items. Don’t forget to use tag #NinetiesFriday

@geneeverett will give 3 basic income units to a winning random post every week that uses the #NinetiesFriday tag. Also @thebighigg has jumped in to match for 6 total weekly prizes! If anyone else wants to sponsor with 1 unit let me know or just send if you don’t wanna commit to weekly πŸ‘
