So I don't know if i am late but let me just try something out. Seeing this topics Makes me teary because I missed a great opportunity due to lack of funds to foot my bills to a contest that would have probably brought me to limelight but not an issue I still have faith that I will still get there someday. So this week's contest is about transportation and for the records this is my first time making a post in this community, hope I am welcome?🤗.

So some weeks back or probably last month I tried out a competition organized by one of the biggest Christian music label in my country Nigeria Ezeeconcept, we were all asked to do any song of your choice without instruments but just your ordinary voice and I participated and luckily for me I was selected. But now the transportation to pay down to Lagos, Nigeria was quite expensive, since I stay down in the southern part of Nigeria, Akwaibom state precisely.
I tried all possible means but money wasn't forth coming and the one that came was compare to what I actually needed to transport me down to Lagos, so I lost that opportunity 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺.
The list that was send to me
Aside the opportunity I lost, I can remember two years back transportation wasn't as bad as this.
I could pay 50 Nigerian Naira to where I wanted to either on Keke(tricycle) or motorcycle.
But now everything has changes drastically because of cost of fuel(petrol)
Petrol is sold at 550 naira(2.4 hive) and when the motorcyclist or those driving the mini buses, tricycle, cars etc considers all these they have no other choice than to shoot up the price of everything and surprisingly every ams anything You need whether edibles, clothes, shoes etc is all tied down to transportation and the high cost of petrol.
When these people both those buying in whole sale and those buying retailer or doing small scale businesses considers these the have to add prices to items to commensurate with stress and everything out together.

From my local government or town to my state capital- Before was 500 naira(2.4 hive) but now it's 1200 naira(5.1 hive)
From my house round town, to church or a drop- Before was 50 naira-80 naira( half or 1 hive or less) but now it's 150 or 200 naira(1 hive) no matter how short the distance is.
Different places and locations has their different price, hmm it's not easy at all
My prayer is that we get through this soonest 🙏😭
