La Reina de la Mesa:Mi entrada al concurso TopFiveFamily Observa Piensa Escribe. ESP-ENG

English Version.

The queen of the table in Venezuela is called Arepa and she represents more than a traditional food, with the passage of time, has become a symbol of union, is that food that transports in a bite to their land to the millions of Venezuelans scattered around the world.

Arepa at breakfast and arepa at dinner and why not an arepita at lunch to complement, if you ask me, if I ever got bored of eating arepa, my answer is clear, No. Because this corn flour bread, combines with any side dish you can imagine, it is very versatile and if we get bored of the traditional, we make it fried or add some fiber, to vary and make it a little healthier.

The brand of the image is an icon in my country, there was a time when finding it was an odyssey, then thousands of versions were born, so as not to let die that feeling that we have rooted in our hearts for the arepa.

But another succulent dish that we can enjoy with this corn flour and that is also within the favorite breakfasts of Venezuelans are the bollitos, these are made with a dough very similar to that of the arepas, but instead of forming these flattened and circular breads, small cylinders are made and sometimes small balls, which are cooked in boiling salted water and served warm with butter and cheese, a good synonym of delight, would definitely be a breakfast like this, accompanied by a thick negrito.

And for those days when we want to break the diet, there are the empanadas, basically arepas, which are fried together with the filling, folded in half, crispy, golden brown with a juicy filling, comforting, how can we resist them. At least I can't.

These are just some of the dishes we can make with this corn flour, there are also the bollos pelones, cassava and other incredible recipes that we can enjoy using Pan flour.

This is my entry to the #topfamily contest. It has been a pleasure to participate again, I take this opportunity to invite you to the contest I will leave the link below:
